MNHQ There has been much written recently about how the controlling of the words we use, is very misleading. Many women reject the word transwoman as it can be misunderstood. In light of this, would you reconsider yr guidelines that Trans Identified Male can not be used? It would seem a more factually accurate description of a human male who presents in a stereotypically female way. Thank you.

Is it legitimate for people to use multiple usernames on Mumsnet? Some have suggested they do ( whether this is true or not, I'm uncertain) On other forums this is not allowed.

It is allowed, but not in one thread afaik. There is no way to check a posters history of names. If you have particular concerns you can report to MNHQ with details, and they can look from their end.

I'd also like Mumsnet to allow all terms. Let them fall as they will. I may use the term "male woman" from now on. It seems to cover all the bases for being accurate whilst allowing MTF trans to be described as women like they want.

I wonder if dear Virginia could have predicted that in the 21st century it would be women's job to serve as mirrors to reflect back men's "womanhood" to them. It's quite astonishing when you think about it. Calling women "cruel" when we refuse is also one of the most startling patriarchal reversals I've seen for a long time.

Yes, let all the previously banned terms be used, however the TRA hammer would come down on Mumsnet. So I can understand why they feel they need to keep them from attacking.

Personally, I'm o.k for 'Cis' to be used, so long as I can also use my preferred terminology

At least it would mean that potentially hostile posters could easily be identified and ignored. I don't accept 'Cis' at all, but don't feel enraged by it; just irritated. I would always reject it, though, in dialogue with someone using it on me.

They need to fight for women.
