AlwaysComingHome and we now know that they'll go straight on to Twitter to snigger about having to be polite to terfs. That NSPCC employee was so sure of the culture there that he posted under his own name. Who the hell would do that when working in child protection, laughing at someone who'd contacted them with a safeguarding concern? The staff in the NSPCC have been groomed to disregard anything women say, on the grounds ds that women are terfs.

Outofinspiration · 16/06/2019 09:48

Yes, I do think that screenshot James Makings put up in December is a bit strange. Who reported him initially I wonder? And what had he been doing then to get reported? But also, who screenshot that Insta story and why did they do that? Stories are only up for 24 hrs and then disappear, so someone must have been 'onto him' back then?

I just think the whole thing is just fucked up. Hopefully the NSPCC will do the right thing this time.

Outofinspiration · 16/06/2019 09:52

I couldn't believe that tweet from the NSPCC employee about 'having to be polite to TERFs'. The culture there sounds absolutely toxic. And we know what has been going on at Oxfam and the like. It sounds like it's the same in all these big charities.

Fucking grim.

Outanabout · 16/06/2019 11:36

That person (a man, again, naturally) should have been disciplined for that tweet, and the woman con earned should have had a grovelling apology. But it seems like the penis reign supreme in a lot of organisations.

youkiddingme · 16/06/2019 16:11

Not exactly hitting the headlines is it? But a tiny bit of traction here:

FreeFreesia · 16/06/2019 20:26

I came across this service which may be useful in looking at systemic failures. £84 for a confidential FOI request to the BBC, national lottery or EHCR anyone?

Cismyfatarse1 · 16/06/2019 20:42

BBC always cite artistic freedom or something. Also FOI is free.

BluebonicPlague · 16/06/2019 21:00

Yes, FOI is free. Don't fall for the parasites. You just have to be thoughtful in how you word it but I bet there are plenty of people on here who can help if you start a thread re FOI.

OldCrone · 16/06/2019 21:01

The easiest way to make a FOI request is here:

www.whatdotheyknow.com

You can do it anonymously if you want (just use a pseudonym). As Cismyfatarse says, FOI is free - there's no need to give money to a third party.

FreeFreesia · 16/06/2019 21:39

No vested interest.

Think labelling as parasite a bit strong, this man set it up and is one of the few to actively follow CSA inquiry.

FreeFreesia
There's no point in paying someone to do something that you can do very easily for free. Who are you paying? What are they doing for the money?

There's lots of info about making requests here:

BluebonicPlague · 16/06/2019 23:49

Forgive me if I'm not a fan of Mark Watts of Exaro, who championed 'Nick'.

Point taken. Not researched enough.

James Makings linked in account has been deleted.

Make of that what you will!

Spiked Online references the wanking at NSPCC guy. Does not name him.

www.spiked-online.com/2019/06/18/the-trans-ideology-is-harming-kids/

Brendan O'Neill on searing form.

"The NSPCC, as its name suggests, is meant to prevent cruelty to children. And right now, one of the cruellest things being inflicted on children at large is the trans ideology – the eccentric, disorientating notion that you can be ‘born in the wrong body’ and might need drugs and therapy to make you the ‘correct gender’.

"People should worry less about Bergdorf losing a public platform and focus instead on the foisting of the bizarre and destructive ideology of transgenderism on to the next generation".

NeurotrashWarrior · 18/06/2019 21:36

Wow that is on the point.

I didn't know spiked was that way inclined; I don't know much about it though.,

MockerstheFeManist · 18/06/2019 21:49

under 18s “sex playing” online is all ok?

Not according to the 2003 Sexual Offences Act.

(But expect the cyber-police are busy after misgendering mums etc.)

Rose of Dawn discusses the Penis News coverage of the NSPCC/Makings story.

NeurotrashWarrior · 19/06/2019 21:39

Rose makes a really good point about how pride appears to conflate kink and being gay and that it's very damaging - and this has also produced the response that criticism of JM is homophobic.

Eaudear · 19/06/2019 21:45

Yeah, why is gay and kink being lumped together? Confused

summerofresistance · 19/06/2019 22:14

Yeah, why is gay and kink being lumped together?

Two words: queer theory.

Queer theory splits sexual activity and identity into 2 categories - normative and deviant. Deviant is positive, as queer theory seeks to deconstruct social norms, which are seen as repressive.

Homosexuality falls into the "deviant" category, along with kink. So it is the same kind of thing, to those indoctrinated encouraged to think this way.

And, it's why some straight people are calling themselves "queer" these days.

youkiddingme · 19/06/2019 22:21

Why has this not made it into the papers?
