It's the 'short hair' bit I can't get past. I mean, I went to the hairdressers for a chop recently so does this mean I changed sex as well? It's starting to feel more and more like the Handmaids Tale.

India and some others believe that women should look properly feminine, do only feminine things, think only feminine thoughts and behave in a stereotypically feminine way.

Says a lot more about India et al than it does about reality. Again, walk around Tescos.
