What with Debbie Hayton's article in the TES, TRAs have issued twitter orders that looking things up on Transgender Trend must stop immediately.

There has been an All Ports warning that the more you visit the website, the more it rises up the google rankings, and knocks other transgender websites off their perches. This is erasure, they say.

Now do as you are told. Stop driving by Transgender Trend at least once a day, if not more, and ruining things.

It dares to talk about detransitioning which no other trans sites do. That deserves a naughty link: www.transgendertrend.com/detransition/

Very odd. I have done some research using different search words. Google throws up very different results with trans rather than transgender. For example ‘trans schools’ initially did not show Transgender Trend at all. However it did pop up with ‘trans schools UK’. Repeating the first search, and it came upon page 4. Obviously I did not want to click on it but felt I needed to check it was the right site.

I was looking for advice for schools and GIDS came up - pointing to the Allsorts Toolkit. Which doesn't follow the GIDS advice to keep options open.

After a visi yo my school by a transgender tights organisation where we were all labelled cis by the speaker, a non binary, male presenting, assigned female at birth 'they', I certainly won't be asking my school to have a look at this website alongside the information given by the organisation. I also won't be asking all my colleagues to look it up.

Just wanted to gently point out that Google tailors search results to what it thinks you want to see.

People from FWR probably get www.transgendertrend.com/ as a top result, TRAs may well not.

It does. But if people who are trying to find out what all the fuss is about Google for the first time, something has to come up.
