2Boys Do you have any idea what Harry’s campaign is about? It is about those guidelines which do not represent the law.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/06/2019 16:58

do you believe the Police in these cases should just ignore their guidelines, because it suits your GC sensibilities.

We want them to follow and uphold the LAW.

Treefloof · 10/06/2019 18:29

I think Harry tweet met one of above reasons to be reported, so was and was recorded as a hate incident
So we can assume the original poster of the limerick was also questioned? Not heard anything and it's pretty big news.
Also anyone else who retweeted said limerick, they been talked to too?

2BoysandaCairn · 10/06/2019 18:31

But the guidelines come from the CPS and therefore the government.
Through the college of Policing.
They are National guidelines, set by the nation prosecution service. I would bloody hope the CPS slightly know what thay require the police to follow.
So what law do you and faircop want upholding.
Because under most Uk law free speech loses out to protected characteristics.
So you can't ban gays from your hotel,
You can't say certain terms to black people.
you can't attack lesbians for been lesbian.
You can't say all disabled don't deserve a life,

So why should you be shouldn't trans gender be the same, it's under the same law.

I hiding this section, the sane mumsnetters say stay away, they are so right. Continue in your echo chamber.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 10/06/2019 18:35

is anyone else disappointed that doesn't rhyme? I thought it would initially from the structure

Sad
LangCleg · 10/06/2019 18:35

Because right now, we are trying to convince eldest son, who has letters of thanks from Care workers, social workers, former and current Police officers and specialist youth workers, all saying he would make an excellent front line officer, from his cadet performance, to do anything but become a copper. I even suggested Bomb disposal with RAF, because this thread

You told your son to go into bomb disposal because women won't comply with your demands on an internet forum?

Give your head a wobble, love.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/06/2019 18:38

So why should you be shouldn't trans gender be the same, it's under the same law.

First.... Trangender identity isn't a protected characteristic.
Secondly There was no crime here.

OvaHere · 10/06/2019 18:40

You told your son to go into bomb disposal because women won't comply with your demands on an internet forum?

I suppose it's a good dinner party story.

"So how did you get into bomb disposal, George?'

"Well there's this site called Mumsnet..."

Grin
CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/06/2019 18:41

From the GOVERNMENT website linked above, the Human rights act:

The enjoyment of the rights and freedoms set forth in this Convention shall be secured without discrimination on any ground such as sex, race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, association with a national minority, property, birth or other status.

Where does it say gender identity?

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 10/06/2019 18:42

it's probably for the best that 2Boys has hidden the thread. we are so influential, who knows what else we could get her to do?

BWAHAHA!

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/06/2019 18:45

The fact you are obsessing over this due to a bunch of people not giving in to your (wrong) demands is very telling 2boys....

This apparently doesn't even have any direct impact on you or your two well decorated, highly praised, superhuman, salt of the earth, heroic, upstanding sons.

Popchyk · 10/06/2019 18:49

It really is an insight into how hard your mind has to work when you reject reality.

Look at Harry's tweets.

Tell us exactly what you think is wrong with them. And why exactly they merit an investigation from the police.

Spell it out for us.

Cue 2Boys saying that they haven't actually looked at Harry's tweets. But that's not the point, the point is that Harry can't say what he hasn't actually said because that's the law. And anyway, the eldest boy is now thinking about getting a job running guns and drugs in Somalia which will be safer than being exposed to women in this country who have asked for explanations about policing.

Datun · 10/06/2019 18:50

It really is an insight into how hard your mind has to work when you reject reality.

Didn't the CPS endorse a GIRES document that said women like blow jobs?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/06/2019 18:51

😂

Popchyk · 10/06/2019 19:05

Dream-crushing news for 2Boys eldest.

RAF's only bomb disposal squad to be disbanded

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-46141957

Looks like they are not hiring.

LangCleg · 10/06/2019 19:11

Oh noes!

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/06/2019 19:12

Did we cause that?

Popchyk · 10/06/2019 19:12

"Wittering Station Commander Gp Capt Tony Keeling said it "has lived by its motto, to make the harmful harmless".

Lovely sentiment from the wittering station commander there.

We could all take a leaf out of that particular book.

MockerstheFeManist · 10/06/2019 20:05

....maybe if they'd wittered a bit less and bomb-disposed a bit more, they wouldn't have been made redundant?

dancingcamper · 10/06/2019 20:25

I do hope 2boys comes back. I couldn't quite follow what they were saying except that they seem to think the tweets do count as a hate incident.

Mainly I wanted to point out to them that if their child was to become a police officer investigating similar tweets as hate incidents would probably be about as safe as the job gets.

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 10/06/2019 21:08

I know the above is the law of England, and how the Police/CPS work, my eldest has a CSE

I'm showing my age. Grin

theOtherPamAyres · 10/06/2019 21:32

I couldn't quite follow what they were saying except that they seem to think the tweets do count as a hate incident.

2boys had read the pamphlet written by the CPS. She had read up on hate incidents from the College of Policing. She wasn't wrong.

In the same vein, a police sergeant from West Yorkshire was recorded in an 'expose' by Faircop. He explained the system in a respectful manner. He wasn't wrong either

I'm so bored with explaining the position to people who don't want to understand. I'll leave it with you.

2BoysandaCairn · 10/06/2019 21:58

Ffs
I will try one last time.
I am thick no gsce Maths or English, no degree, nowt like you so educated ladies.
But I can do simple research and also due to being a RL coach, I have to do safeguarding course, I also did it for my works modern apprecticeship.
So harassement act of 1999,
Protects disability, race, relegion, sexual orientation and trans gender characteristics. It led to the hate crime law. From this led to hate incidents.
You can read how each is governed on
Citizensadvice, gov.co.uk, college of Policing and CPS websites.
The definiation of a hate incident is one where any one is offend by what they believe is an offensive comment against one of the 5 above.
Once reported the police have to record it has an hate incident.

Trangender people in England and Wales ate covered by the Gender Recognition Act 2004, brought in after EU sued the UK government.
Unlike lots of countries UK gives full rights to any transgender person, even if not post operation, as long as they prove they are suffering from sexual disphoria.

So I am sorry but I still think under UK law the tweet from Harry falls into a hate incident.
Just like many think Danny Bakers royal baby tweet is racist.

Now you may disagree with both the harassment act of 1999 and the gender recognition act 2004, and how they are worded. But thats the law. The CPS have laid down guidlelnes to all police forces.

Thats why I disagree with the campaign and suing my police force. Because they are clearly following the law.
So if you all want to change the law sue the government or wait until haloweem and brexit then we wont have to enact EU gender law. Or sue the CPS.
Just leave my police force out of it.

Finally in all honesty if you win this challenge, do you want all hate incidents banned or just Harry types.
I ask because in Hull some lovely person wrote to Lesbians with a child saying they weren't welcome and women like them had no rights to a child. Hull was up in arms, the police logged it has a hate incident and are trying to find the bastard.
Or want about our winger who had monkey chants song after scoring a try. That when down as a hate incident too. Fine for opposition too.
Or Castleford club fined for gay chants against Gareth Thomas.
Or the Hull KR player investigated for a hate incident over P*ki tweets.
Because are you willing to throw the baby out with the bath water I wonder.

I personally don't care why Harry was investigated, if his poem had been report for being racist/sexist/gay or lesbian bashing/Islamaphobic etc I would have expect Humberside to call and talk to him.
See I just believe in the harassment law of 1999.
You don't. No need to be rude. Even deranged thick idiots like me can research and learn about laws.
Yes do take piss out of my lad. He was the only cadet, out of 22, on a cadet day to correctly identify a murder, using real evidence and witness statements, with identities changed. The case was murder of a female, all the rest followed the deliberate red herrings.

Good luck to you all.
I will disagree, because I fear you will put disable, ethnic minorities, lgb and religious minorities back into real danger, with little legally protection by replealing the act which also protects trans gender.
Sorry I can't approve of that, so I don't want your appeal to work.

If that makes me a deranged women hater, who can't stand you not doing as I say, I will live with that. Because I know that's not my reason. I don't want to lose the haressment act. Simple.
So sorry if Harry had to cope with a phone call from Humberside police, but I really can't shed tears. My tears go to the Hull ladies; the boy from our team and the muslim ladies spat and having their hajibs ripped off. They are 100 times more important to defence then Mr Owl.
So sorry you dont agree.

Please leave me out of it now.
I am pro women, plus pro lgbt and believe both can live together happily, but we need the law to defend minorities.
I think it best we disagree.
I really have so many better things to waste my time on.

GassyAss · 10/06/2019 22:09

I’ve just skim read the last few pages and you seem to be cross with us for not parenting your boys properly and because there is homophobia and racism in some sections of rugby league. Have I read correctly?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/06/2019 22:18

nowt like you so educated ladies.

I left school at 15.

But thats the law
It's not the law.

as long as they prove they are suffering from sexual disphoria.

The police didn't ask for a GRC from the person making the complaint..... They didn't even read the twitter posts.

Please leave me out of it now.

When we left you out of it you returned to get more attention.
