Absolute disgrace. Absolute fucking disgrace.

OP posts:
Voice0fReason · 29/04/2019 22:40

This is blatantly unfair.
They absolutely haven't worked as hard as the women in the competition.
It's just like an adult competing against a child.

S1naidSucks · 29/04/2019 22:49

Oh I give up. Silly me, I should have recognised a gf from the first thing they posted. 🙄

On the plus side, I think I just heard the gentle noises of a few hundred more people reaching the peak. 🏔 If people shouting WTAF! can be considered gentle, that is. 😁

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 29/04/2019 22:56

unflushable is well aware of the differences between males and females

They are literally shit stirring...better off ignoring them

But i agree with other posters, dreadfully unfair...no idea when this iwll stop happening!

CharlieParley · 29/04/2019 22:59

Those celebrating a cheat breaking world records do not care about fairness in sport. Those allowing it do not care about fairness in sport either.

These cheating incidents keep hitting home that the self-id campaign is a men's rights movement and any harm to women (of the cunty kind) like we see being done here to women's weightlifting is a feature not a bug.

vitirol

I am not prepared to take that bet Grin

I've had countless arguments with women who have told me that men are not physically stronger than women, and that women are just as strong as men when they train.

Countless arguments? I doubt it.

I train and this is nonsense unless they're comparing themselves to men who don't train, or train very infrequently. But why would you do that? hth

JellySlice · 30/04/2019 00:13

I know almost nothing about upper body strength, weight lifting, and the differences between the sexes, so it's not my place to decide whether this person should have this record, or not have it. That's for weight lifters to decide.

Here you go.

TalkingintheDark · 30/04/2019 00:16

What an absolute fucking joke.

The Emperor should really get the fuck dressed already.

RagingWhoreBag · 30/04/2019 00:25

But if they think they're right, then why do they take issue with this person winning?

I wonder if maybe they are different people with their own thoughts?! Imagine that. The women you argue with about whether men or women are stronger, are not Sharron Davies, Kelly Holmes, or any of us?! It's almost as if women have their own opinions rather than a hive mind. Odd.

RagingWhoreBag · 30/04/2019 00:26

The Emperor should really get the fuck dressed already.

Grin Love it!!

Goosefoot · 30/04/2019 00:38

I have also heard people make the argument women are as strong as men when they train, usually in the context of women joining the infantry, or becoming firefighters, or that sort of thing.

I always thought it was bs, but the idea is out there. I think young girls kind of pick it up with other sorts of messaging that try and assure them women are just as able to do everything men do. And I suppose they see it on tv to some extent as well, and it seems real I guess.

But that is part of the problem I think. It's maybe worthwhile to look back at the way we've tried to send particular messages and consider if different nuances might be a good idea.

DancelikeEmmaGoldman · 30/04/2019 00:39

Of FFS.

“But in one way, the sex difference is stark: Men are physically stronger than women, on average. A study in the Journal of Applied Physiology found that men had an average of 26 lbs. (12 kilograms) more skeletal muscle mass than women. Women also exhibited about 40 percent less upper-body strength and 33 percent less lower-body strength, on average, the study found. And a 2006 study in the same journal revealed that men had much stronger grips than women — the difference was so big that 90 percent of the women scored lower than 95 percent of the men.Dec 7, 2015”

“The researchers found that height and weight differences between men and women could explain only about half of the difference in strength. Researchers reporting in 1993 in the European Journal of Applied Physiology found that men's brawn could also be attributed to a larger cross-section in individual muscle fibres.”

In the old days we called this science.

I've had countless arguments with women who have told me that men are not physically stronger than women, and that women are just as strong as men when they train.

I think the thing women have long argued about, is the fact that men's strength was seen as a 'better' than the myriad wonderful things women's bodies can do. Male privelege and all that. I can't remember ever hearing a woman say women are the equal strength of men. Just that strength alone should not be the measure of the best.

GirlDownUnder · 30/04/2019 07:59

unflushable is on the wind up cos they're pissed they got their arse handed to them on their 'I buy sex' (aka rape) thread.

GirlDownUnder · 30/04/2019 08:00

Twitter is not happy with this win, so it's helping peak trans people. Only good bloody thing about it. I really hope when all this gets wound back, all medals and records are stripped.

unflushable · 30/04/2019 10:22

Countless arguments? I doubt it.

Oh yes. Every time I've claimed men are physically stronger than women, some woman always furiously responds that women are as strong as men when they exercise, and I'm a sexist.

So it's misogyny to say men have more physical strength than women, and it's also misogyny to compete with women in physical competitions on equal terms.

"Misogyny" is like sin in the bible. Every single person is guilty of it, even if they have done literally nothing.

For fucking years and years we were well aware and able to accept that men are stronger and faster than us. But suddenly that doesn't exist when it comes to biological men competing against women. A bit like gender is apparently more than a social construct now, oh and sex is apparently non binary! Rewriting science and human history. Ffs

deydododatdodontdeydo · 30/04/2019 10:33

I heard on Sunday that Paula Radcliffe's London Marathon record is considered different to the current records, because she had male pace setters, and now they use female ones.
Yet any of the 30 or more men that finished ahead of Kosgei this year, could identify as female and smash Paula's record Confused
Ridiculous!

deydododatdodontdeydo · 30/04/2019 10:34

Correction - only 25 men finished ahead of Paula's record time this year (still a fantastic feat by Paula set 15 year's ago).
