Will be buying the Times tomorrow!

ByGrabtharsHammarWhatASavings · 07/04/2019 23:28

Once the house of cards starts falling every paper will jump on it and every organisation will suddenly have whistleblowers falling over themselves to tell their story. People are desperately frustrated by the censorship and just waiting for the greenlight to erupt. Please let this be the start of it.

zen1 · 07/04/2019 23:29

That's brilliant - off to the newsagents in the morning.

colouringinpro · 07/04/2019 23:30

Fantastic! Praying this is the beginning of the end!

TheweewitchRoz · 07/04/2019 23:32

Completely agree @ByGrabtharsHammarWhatASavings.

Redshoeblueshoe · 07/04/2019 23:33

Hopefully whilst LOJ is trying to work out which is the wrong side of history

terfsandwich · 07/04/2019 23:36

Would have preferred the headline:
TRANSGENDER IDEOLOGY IS GAY CONVERSION THERAPY

RedToothBrush · 07/04/2019 23:38

Steady.

Still a long long way to go on this.

By framing as gay conversion Stonewall will be sucked in one way or another now.

Not sure how that particular shit is going to hit the fan. Stonewall still have significant power.

There must be a fracturing between Mermaids and Stonewall, if Stonewall wants to survive.

But if there is a fracturing, all sort of questions of competence of safeguarding get asked about Stonewall.

And then everyone who took advice off them.

NSPCC. Guiding. UK gymnastics. All the political parties.

If this clinic 'falls' to a scandal and Mermaids 'fails' to a scandal, a lot of people are going to have a lot of explaining to do.

So buckle up for a doubling down on this. Too many people with lots to lose to say this is anything like the start of something

NeverTwerkNaked · 07/04/2019 23:39

Finally some intellectual integrity in the press!

RedToothBrush · 07/04/2019 23:47

Kathleen Stock @ docstockk
And as was pointed out to me yesterday: not just kids who are gay. Gender nonconforming kids who may be straight, but who those around them FEAR are gay. Gender non conformity is terrifying, in a highly stratified pink & blue world. You fear for the child. You want to save them.

It's funny after Somervilles thread and reading that there were people on twitter saying that some people on the thread we in denial about being non binary and then you read this shit.

Carowiththegoodhair · 07/04/2019 23:48

YES!!! Came on here to fistbump!

But, every single child sent down this pathway is a tragedy.

And agree. There will be some major doubling down, though with Stonewall yet to appoint a new head, this could be a handy opportunity for a clean sweep.

GeordieGenes · 07/04/2019 23:51

I will be buying a copy of The Times tomorrow. Anyone else who can afford to should do the same. This story is incredibly important.

RedToothBrush · 07/04/2019 23:52

I believe those Stonewall financials are due in the next fortnight.

JustTheOneTime · 08/04/2019 00:01

NSPCC. Guiding. UK gymnastics. All the political parties.

After the excruciating Twitter episode on Friday, what’s the betting some poor emissary is having a fitful sleep ahead of tomorrow’s inevitable doubling down??

The worrying thing is not so much her views but the fact I've seen her on tv discussing her child's care, and she doesnt have any sort of healthcare knowledge at all. Not even an informed amateur's level, she has nothing. What are her qualifications ?"

Na. I bet they are blissfully unaware having gone to bed a while ago. This has barely registered on twitter yet. It's a Sunday night and most people who thought the story was coming thought it was going to be in the Sunday Times not Mondays newspaper

It's when they wake up to a shit storm on their mobile tomorrow...

Good grief! I wonder if the police will round up all the reporters linked to The Times? After all a certain doctor and lawyer are bound to report them, aren’t they?

HermioneWeasley · 08/04/2019 00:14

red is right - too many people implicated to think this on its own is the start of the end.

Families ‘exploited by gender lobby groups pushing for treatment’

Transgender lobby groups are encouraging vulnerable young people and their families to push for medical intervention regardless of whether specialists agree it is the best course of action, according to clinicians who have resigned in protest from the NHS’s leading gender identity clinic.

Mermaids, the most prominent transgender pressure group, insists it does not “favour”, “lobby” or “push” for young people who identify as transgender to pursue medical intervention.

Can I just say thank you to the editor and reporters of The Times, for not permitting certain organisations to bully you into submission. When this nonsense is finally over or the SHTF, you will be remembered as one of the leading voices that tried to warn the public and protect our children. 💐
