Hi I'm a long time lurker, who read with disgust the last thread and wants to send , to caro. I've scanned since last thread finished for new one but no luck! Hope no one minds if I start one!

Well somebody just pointed out that by sharing the picture Harrop is also breaching the rules so he's deleted it now.

I agree with others it is best not to respond to some people as it will make them worse. Might be best to quietly keep a record of everything that happens ready for trial and not engage or publicise their efforts. This doesn't mean giving in its playing a smarter game IMO.

Caro I hope you are ok, try and relax and do something nice.

I agree we all need to grey rock. I feel guilty that what I thought of as solidarity and community support may have stoked the fires. These people are skilled and experienced narcissists. We need to starve them of oxygen.

Why communicate with nutters who sue people who communicate with them?

Perhaps they've been goaded into it by a group of people conducting a number of harassment campaigns that are driving the poor woman to distraction.

I'm not sure how I'd cope if I were the target.

Well, the silver lining her is surely that Hayden (and Harrop) can surely not turn up at Carolines door anymore to frighten her.

Of course, I expect the abuse will just conitnue from the many sock accounts known to beliong to various TRAs, or other TRAs themselves, I wonder if Harrop will be able to contain himself. How on earth they are trying to spin this as a win for Steph I do not know? Steph attempted to silence a woman using intimidation techniques, and while technically granted, Stephs own beaviour was noted, threats were known, and they basically got themselves the exact same punishment, despite being the one trying to bring the charges?!

And were told that the way they had portrayed the issue was certainly not how it actually occurred.

I see it's being reported on bbc website (rather one sided). I wouldn't google it as it has a photo of the wistful lawyer gazing soulfully into camera. And it's nearly bedtime.

The report on the BBC website is word for word the same as the report in many other papers. It seems to have come from the Press Association.

But the papers, unlike the BBC who are just so careful to be woke, have not published any picture.

I wonder if Harrop is considering identifying as a lawyer too? Maybe he needs a change of career...

The most ridiculous thing to come out of this was the judge talking about misgendering being such a bad thing to do. No one cares when it's done to a woman like Lady Gaga.

Hope things settle down a bit for you now, Caroline. I think we can safely say that while yesterday’s result was a bit disappointing, overall you’re ahead. I’d take great comfort in your shoes knowing that they really haven’t got a lot else going on in their lives other than this, and your world is richer, happier and more loving.

Caroline, so many of us would have crumbled under such treatment, especially with children being involved.

I'm disappointed with the Judge's take on misgendering when you have been hounded to the extreme.

I hope when this goes to court again you get a female judge. Sex shouldn't matter when you are examining the law, but we all know that it does, sadly.
I'm so sick of female victims being bullied and then having to prove why and then being treated poorly by the justice system.

In life, there is the old boys network, jobs for the boys, Masonic lodges, gentlemen's clubs. Males sticking together and being celebrated for it. Because so many males are in positions of power, women lose out.

Hello everyone. Huge huge thanks for the support, both on here and financially.

One utterly brilliant thing about yesterday is that it gave me and DH a chance for a date night in the pub afterwards with lots of lovely people.

Some amazing women came and stood outside the High Court in the rain with some placards and t-shirts.

I'm feeling extremely upbeat. But as a result of today, I have decided to take a break from Twitter and cut back on the rest of my social media use, until the court case(s) are resolved.

This is partly because of legal advice. More importantly, it's because I simply want to remember what it feels like to be a mother, wife and frankly a human being.

Onwards and upwards. Adult Human Female.

I'm not so sure a female judge can be counted on.
Regarding misgendering I know some people play safe especially here and twitter and use preferred gender. Personally I find it increasingly easy to say what I want without using a pronoun, either 3rd party writing or name or initials. It doesn't always read elegantly but I think it's worth the effort. It's good training for when/If/ I have to do it in real life. Life without pronouns isn't hard!

That's very sensible Caroline. It's good you're seeing the positives in this upsetting business.

Hopefully if you have a lower profile those harassing you will get bored and will look elsewhere.
