Hi I'm a long time lurker, who read with disgust the last thread and wants to send Thanks, to caro. I've scanned since last thread finished for new one but no luck! Hope no one minds if I start one!

The judge referring to tweets as emails doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

The judge referring to tweets as emails doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

That's what I thought. Very unprofessional.

popehilarious · 02/05/2019 19:07

Well exactly. Did he understand the difference between the two?

WelshMoth · 02/05/2019 19:09

Hope you're ok Caro and family.

Howyoualldoworkme · 02/05/2019 19:20

In my opinion the judge may have been confused with biology and technology

BettyFloop · 02/05/2019 19:22

Still supporting Caro Flowers

I hope you have something nice planned for this evening, even if it's just a glass of wine and a good long soak in the bath to wash away the London grime.

Needmoresleep · 02/05/2019 19:23

Reading Harry the Owls Twitter cheered me up. Under what other circumstances would Harry, Joani, Caroline, Fionne Orlander, and the KiwiFarmers be rooting for each other. The battle for free speech brings together some good people.

eurochick · 02/05/2019 19:27

I predict many friends of SH popping up with accounts that don't breach the undertakings but continue to taunt Caro...

Bluestitch · 02/05/2019 19:29

Harrop didn't take long. Threatening HarrytheOwl.

yes

and in all likelihood they'll goad her into saying something which will look bad in court. they'll certainly try

I really think she should be grey rocking now.

this won't be won on twitter. It will be won by taking down one piece of batshittery at a time, each stupid set of schools guidance, each workplace policy that confuses sex and gender. It's boring but that's how it is.

Caroline could step away from twitter without compromising, without stopping the fight, but safeguarding her MH and helping herself not to rise to this shit and make her own life more complicated.

eurochick · 02/05/2019 19:33

What law is that Harrop?

50shadesofgreyrock · 02/05/2019 19:37

Hard to concentrate on the boring stuff when idiots are delivering kebabs to your door and reporting you to SS though. Fuckers.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/05/2019 19:40

So the judge was aware of the threats - veiled and otherwise - made by eedjit and friend/s?

They just look at a woman in the court and make up their mind whose side they are on don't they. And that tells you a lot.

howlsmovingcastle84 · 02/05/2019 19:41

Ummm..someone should tell Harrop to stop taking legal advice from self-identified 'lawyers'.
It's only prohibited to take photos of the court proceedings themselves.
The RCJ has a very nice museum you can visit, and take photos in....

I know. But these people feed off the reaction. If you stop reacting, you stop being interesting

seeing Caroline's upset and outrage on twitter was the pay off for the individual who set up that little stunt. It gave them precisely what they wanted

you see it every day on the relationship boards here. abusive men will escalate to get a rise. the only way to 'win' is to de-escalate, stop being interesting

and I know it's not fair, and it's just misogyny AGAIN. but sometimes you have to adopt a long term strategy to get what you want

TERFApparently · 02/05/2019 19:48

Harrop appear to be write unfortunately
"Photography and filming of any kind is strictly forbidden in any part of the Royal Courts of Justice complex, including outside courtyard areas."

TERFApparently · 02/05/2019 19:48

'right' ffs

Datun · 02/05/2019 19:50

50shadesofgreyrock · 02/05/2019 19:51

Is there an equivalent rule which prevents political posters from being stuck to the walls, doors, or any part of the interior?

50shadesofgreyrock · 02/05/2019 19:52

If not, I might suggest Harry borrows some stickers to apply to such posters next time.

Sad, empty little lives they must have.

AnotherBewilderedQuoll · 02/05/2019 20:12

3rd go at this..
Wishing you all the best, Caro. I'm so sorry you've been put through all this, and hope you have a lovely, relaxing evening 💐🍷

eurochick · 02/05/2019 20:15

It might be forbidden but that doesn't make it contempt of court.

If you google image search "photos of great hall high court london" you will find many pictures of the court interior posted by primary schools, tourists and other various people.

Yep-the statutory restriction (the part that will get you in trouble with a judge) is taking photos of the people in the court.
You can of course put up 'no photos allowed' signs anywhere and ask people to leave if they do but it is not a contempt of court.
