I'm a GC feminist, but I do find all the fawning around Graham Linehan to be pathetic. He's barely given a peep about women's rights in the past, and suddenly he's jumped on the anti-TRA bandwagon, centering himself in what is and should a women-led movement (i.e. feminism).
The last straw for me is seeing fellow feminists fawn over this tweet - he posits himself as an ally, yet shows 0 interest in opening up the world of comedy beyond the thoughts of white men.

My choice is to decide to oppose something because I think it's wrong, and then look who is also opposing it, rather than deciding on how I want "my side to look" and then let that guide my views.

What I meant was in this tweet it implied that his current project was led by white men. I can see why that was unclear. I am not new to mn, I’ve posted to this very board several time.

And I won’t stop criticising any man for any reason if they are perpetuating patriarchy. I’m glad he supports the protection of women only spaces, but it frustrates that he seems to get more attention then women who say the same as him

The majority of glinner's Twitter content is him retweeting or drawing attention to tweets and content from women. He has the ability to reach a larger audience than many of those individuals.

Yes his current project is the Ted Musical so those pictured were involved in the original Father Ted. One of them is the co-creator, another of them did the original music. Or are you saying he shouldn't have worked with them 25 years ago so this didn't crop up?

He is in the news precisely because he is famous. Fake McNotALawyer chose him to hassle for this reason. He hasn't chosen to centre himself. He has been centred because he has been attacked (due to being famous).

They can go after Bindel but she's been tefblocked by everyone and no one woukd see it. She also likely doesnt have the money he has to make suing for fun worthwhile.
