I'm one of those academics at a 'woke' university who has faced disciplinary action for my use of Twitter as a GC feminist academic.

I don't use Twitter so much under my own name now - mostly to tweet The Archers, and retweet Conference calls and the like.

I feel such a coward - I need my job. So thank you from one who has been (partially) silenced.

Yes purely by phone. When I read out to them the provisos of the Malicious Communications Act and stated that I was not in breach of any of them, the officer responded that the CPS had requested the taped interview.

I suspect that - since this relates to September - the timing has been planned for when MPs are too busy to help out.

I would be inclined (and this is not advice) to refuse to attend on the basis that misgendering is not a crime and let them arrest you (I suspect they can't). Then make serious complaints not just about the threats you are facing but about the police refusing to deal with them and actually joining in the stalking and harrassment by following up spurious complaints and ignoring your own. I would specifically complain about the officer who said he would get a summons.

Take down the name and number of any officer you speak to so you can name them in your complaint.

Susie Green's transgender offspring is male born. Susie Green took said offspring to Thailand for an operation on child's genitals when child was 15, op done on child's 16th birthday. Op that was ILLEGAL in the UK at the time and now ILLEGAL in Thailand. Yet no interest from W Yorks police in S Green now or at the time.

Completely horrified at this and yet not surprised. Will support you in any way I can, Caro, including donating to a crowdfunder. I have a feeling, however, that Susie Green has chosen the wrong woman to mess with - after the way that Harrop and his golf club-wielding chum have harassed you, you don't strike me as a woman who is easily intimidated.

Even though I agree with the poster who said that the belief that humans can't change sex is a scientific fact, I think it might be worth going for the religious angle. After all, the right to freely practise one's religious belief is protected under both equalities legislation and human rights legislation.

I think this should get as much sunlight as possible - to demonstrate the shady carry-on behind the scenes of charities who supposedly support children and families - contact some journalists ASAP and get this in the mainstream media.

I agree that finally this might bring public attention to what Mermaids are up to. I have written to ask why they are demanding taped interviews from people who have not broken any law with my specific interest being if this can happen to Caroline, it can happen to any of us
