From a quick look through of the programme cant see any workshop offering the gender critical view on trans rights vs. women's rights.

Not sure who is funding the week of events but it is supported by York (calling itself Human Rights City) and University of York Centre for Women’s Studies

So once again women’s rights is seen as not important by Human Rights and Women’s Studies.

I would be very curious to go along to that to hear what on earth they are going to say. It sounds bonkers. I would love to know why t*rfs are so dangerous! As far as I can see all the violence and danger has come from trans activists towards women.

Aisling Musson was at York uni but I think this event was organised someone else. They possibly know of each other through York Labour party. Depressing stuff.

Why is an anti women event even listed on that page??!

In fact, the more I think about this, the more cross I am. This is an event that has violent terminology aimed specifically at women in its title and it's listed as an event celebrating international women's day. FFS.

I became a feminist at York University in the 1970s. I'm ashamed of them now. Unfortunately the event was today!

That poster was so ridiculous I'm finding it hard to be outraged about it, it's laughable. I'm imagining about 5 weirdos people turned up.
