Yes Sharron! StarHaloSmile

Popchyk · 02/03/2019 20:33

BBC concentrating yet again on a woman's reaction to a story. Put her out there, isolate her and set the dogs on her. They may as well have put Trans Lobby - Please Bully Sharron Davies Now in the headline.

They never cover the actual story. Gutless bastards.

This is such a good point.

Thank you Sharron for speaking up for women.

Datun · 02/03/2019 20:41

I'm not sure they can ever dress this up to look, in any way, fair and equitable.

FloraFox · 02/03/2019 20:46

Sharron is totally right that it’s difficult for current competitors to stand up to this. Brava to Sharron!!

StephsCaddy · 02/03/2019 20:50

Well done Sharron.

And if the BBC think we’ll forget this horseshit they are very much mistaken.
I pay £150 a year for this bollocks?!?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 02/03/2019 20:55

I suspect they've sign some sort of "Code of Conduct" agreement along with the Guardian and the like which stops them from publishing anything bad about Trans-people.
Something which looks like an innocent inclusive agreement but is actually about promoting the Trans ideology.

NotAnotherJaffaCake · 02/03/2019 21:00

If you’re on any of the UK Reddits, you’ll note that this has generated tumbleweed, as it interferes with their work “thinking” skills. Good for Sharron.

Popchyk · 02/03/2019 21:10

Here is a BBC article about transgenderism in sport - with Rachel McKinnon stating that men have no biological advantages over women.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/46453958

The article states:

"It is difficult to measure numbers accurately, but government figures suggest there are 200,000 to 500,000 transgender people in the UK, equating to 0.3%-0.75% of the population".

And yet. Here's BBC's own Equality Information Report from 2018.

Stating that 2.8% of the BBC's senior management team identify as transgender.

This kind of tweet is such an admission that they have nothing, and it's why they will not prevail.

mammoon · 02/03/2019 21:39

Wow. That tweet to Sharron Davies is so gross. TRAs outing themselves to the general public as completely unhinged and abusive.

NotBadConsidering · 02/03/2019 21:39

Why is it, with these articles on the BBC, Guardian etc that the go to response to a female sports legend taking a stance is to have a quote from McKinnon saying “[insert legendary sportswoman] is a transphobe”?

It’s just so tedious, as well as insulting to that woman.

OlennasWimple · 02/03/2019 21:46

I love Sharron

rocketromano · 02/03/2019 21:49

Well done Sharron Davies! Awesome woman Flowers

OvaHere · 02/03/2019 21:49

With both women who are angry at the continued anti woman bias of the BBC and the (mostly) right wingers mad about Tommy Robinson and free speech, the BBC are going to be losing a lot in licence fees this year.

UrsulaPandress · 02/03/2019 21:50

Didn't someone tell Sharron that she could have beaten men if only she'd tried harder?

ElBandito · 02/03/2019 21:54

The way the BBC use quotation marks and quotes in the first few paragraphs of that story is quite abominable.

LangCleg · 02/03/2019 21:58

This kind of tweet is such an admission that they have nothing, and it's why they will not prevail.

The more of that shit they post to people who are beloved public figures (instead of moany old feminists) the better.

Really good point *Popchyk^. Must look for complaint page.

I bet Daley Thompson doesn't get the same shit on Twitter as Sharon does.
Thank you Sharon

Not sure if it was covered on MN but I caught the end of SD talking on Jeremy Vine's Radio 2 'show' last week, arguing very well indeed her views but being drowned out by an utter tosspot with no ability at all to see the trans issues from the viewpoint of women. I was well impressed, well done Sharron.
