EweSurname · 01/03/2019 12:11

I didn't realise Miranda Yardley was in court today over alleged transphobic harrasment.

Debbie Hayton
@DebbieHayton
At Basildon Magistrates Court where Miranda Yardley is on trial for transphobic Harassment. The prosecution applied for reporting restrictions to prevent the complainant Helen Islan from being named. The judge has not granted them. So Helen Islan can be named.

Sending Miranda good luck vibes.

Yes, theOtherPam Ayres , true. I guess I'm always on the lookout for the inevitable regroup and wondering wtf will be next.

With any luck, the worse they get, the more it acts as a demonstration to all and sundry observing that they won't be able to wriggle out of. Much is deliberate, but there's an awful lot of lacking-self-awareness as seen here with HI, that will expose many in the end.

We are part of the reason the public have woken up.

Yes! Something to be very proud of. I mean, personally I've done bugger all but lurk then rant, send the odd letter and sign things, but the digging and dot-joining others have done on here has been utterly fantastic.

Just think - this would still all be going on under the radar without MN.

"Nevertheless, she persisted."

youllhavehadyourtea · 02/03/2019 17:08

Haddock isn't a leader. He's just Steph's caddy.

RepealTheGRA · 02/03/2019 17:10

Do not underestimate the power of 1’000’s of women doing their small bit, every, single, day.

SharkBastard · 02/03/2019 17:12

There are more body blows to come, you'll notice self proclaimed 'public figures' within the trans community are getting less and less likes, retweets, attention.

Bradley, pervert
Challenor, safeguarding issue
Harrop, GMC
Faye, disappeared
Lees, I AM A NICE PERSON
Munroe, Woman is a fantasy
McKinnon, DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM, MARTINA
Etc

Bluestitch · 02/03/2019 17:12

Haddock isn't a leader. He's just Steph's caddy.

Good point. I still think he's responsible for stirring up a lot of the aggro though.

WeRiseUp · 02/03/2019 17:20

I can't help wondering what's happened to Sophie Cook, Natacha Kennedy and Sarah Brown. Are they all strictly dark webbing it at moment?
How about Stephen Whittle?

ToeToToe · 02/03/2019 17:27

People like Stephen Whittle are masters of working behind the scenes. This will all still be happening by stealth. They're biding their time, waiting for the uproar to die down. I suspect it won't though.

TRAs have taken several serious blows - Karen White, The Tavistock leak, Martina Navratilova, their various failed court cases/reports to the police, the hospital wards row. Things that won't be over-ridden by the usual chants of "transwomen are women".

hackmum · 02/03/2019 17:40

SharkBastard - just wanted to say I love your succinct summary attached to those TRAs. I'd probably add:

Fae, eggshell skulls.

WeRiseUp · 02/03/2019 17:45

Yes, if the Women and Equalities APPG and the Labour party, the BBC, The Guardian, The Independent, SchoolsWeek, The Speaker of the House, The National Lottery, MI5, various police forces, Stonewall, NSPCC, local councils, etc, etc are all already 100% behind this disordered thinking becoming mandatory for all citizens, then we are simply looking at the tip of the iceberg here.

OrchidInTheSun · 02/03/2019 17:45

I see that Whittle is looking for a new assistant. You have to make his sandwiches and remind him to take his meds as well as do all his general admin stuff.

He wants a graduate and is paying 20p/hour more than minimum wage. Still, that's equality for you!

we are simply looking at the tip of the iceberg here.
Oh yes. It is being pushed from the very top downwards.

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/03/2019 17:50

Harrop was a useful idiot. His overweaning vanity and pathological need to be perceived as important in some capacity was what led him to espouse the TRA cause in the first place.

He will never recover from Posie's take down of him - he was revealed for all to see as a pompous, blustering, thin-skinned buffoon. A doctor denying biological realities.

His online behaviour has seriously compromised his professional standing and his career but he was too stupid and vainglorious to see it.

He's a busted flush.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/03/2019 17:54

He isn’t trans though is he? What is his axe to grind? I think he just likes to have a go and is a bit of a bossy old boots who thinks he is very important and outmigration to be listened to. He will be dropped by ‘the cause’ when it evolves to exclude those who are non-trans.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/03/2019 17:55

outmigration? My autocorrect is making upnworks now! ‘Deserves’

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/03/2019 17:55

Upnworks? UP WORDS!

AlwaysTawnyOwl · 02/03/2019 18:03

Miranda - thank you

WeRiseUp · 02/03/2019 18:06

What is his axe to grind?

He just belongs to the Owen Jones school of rightious misogyny I reckon. There seem to be a fair few under the LGBT banner who are delighted to have this excuse to openly hate, hurt and insult women.

StephsCaddy · 02/03/2019 18:08

He does it because he hate women. Let’s not over think this.

WeRiseUp · 02/03/2019 18:09

Totally stephs

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/03/2019 18:14

His poor mum. I can only imaging the Mother’s Day cars she will receive. Poor ma halibut.

EweSurname · 02/03/2019 18:16

Joani Walsh says that the judge didn't say it was a matter of “international importance” - she didn’t have that down in her notes and neither did the defence counsel.

Popchyk · 02/03/2019 18:16

I reckon he saw a glittering lucrative career as celebrity gender doctor in front of him.

Seeing a few patients per week to keep his hand in but his main income would be from raking it in from media appearances and consultancy/sponsorship deals.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/03/2019 18:18

But he doesn’t come across as a nice or friendly person. I dont want to watch a tv doctor being horrible to women. And his understanding of biology is a bit shaky.

FemalePersonator · 02/03/2019 18:42

Interesting. So Whittle's personal assistant makes him lunch and snacks and drives him places (among other tasks) and is paid out of public funds. (The post is funded by Access to Work. I applied for funding from them to help with travel costs - I have autism and find that public transport can be difficult to negotiate at rush hour - and was turned down...)

IDoN0tCare · 02/03/2019 18:42

I’m concerned that a certain group of people that like to push the suicide ideology onto young people, will encourage/use a young person’s suicide as a ‘look what the terfs made (her) do’! They’re going to need to do something particularly vile to try and manipulate the public into falling for their ideology, and that worries me. Nothing is beneath these people, as we already know.
