I didn't realise Miranda Yardley was in court today over alleged transphobic harrasment.

Debbie Hayton
@DebbieHayton
At Basildon Magistrates Court where Miranda Yardley is on trial for transphobic Harassment. The prosecution applied for reporting restrictions to prevent the complainant Helen Islan from being named. The judge has not granted them. So Helen Islan can be named.

Sending Miranda good luck vibes.

Good. I'm looking forward to seeing the Mail on Sunday

MsMcWoodle · 02/03/2019 11:37

Me too Redshoe and that's not something I'd ever thought I'd say.

Vixxxy · 02/03/2019 11:44

Fantastic news. Hopefully another turning point..as this vexacious litigation thing is ridiculous. LOL at Hayden though Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/03/2019 12:20

Remind me who it was who set the Woke Police on HarryTheOwl ? Was it Harrop?

I know Steph is taking out a private prosecution against SharkB, but she also had the horrendous police detention and is still waiting to hear whether they are going to charge her I think? So can't see why Steph is preening Stephself.

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/03/2019 12:22

And Margaret Nelson - was that Steph or Harrop? Can't keep up with the Stasi.

Giuliana went after Linda and Venice and who else?

Chrysanthemum5 · 02/03/2019 12:28

I can't see anything about this case in the papers today is it likely to be tomorrow?

Absolutely shocking that the CPS pursued this case and used public funds for it

Thingybob · 02/03/2019 12:31

why Steph is preening Stephself

Maybe she's got wind of something?

There is some rather strange behaviour going on at the moment, somethings not right

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 02/03/2019 12:38

Something big is going to happen soon, it's why twitter is pretty quiet.

We should be pleased at the steps we have made over the last two week.

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/03/2019 12:46

I've just posted on the Harrop thread that he has deleted ALL his tweets.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 02/03/2019 12:48

Is Harrop still in NZ?

Datun · 02/03/2019 12:51

Last I heard, New Zealand was connected to the Internet!

EweSurname · 02/03/2019 12:52

I can still see his tweets?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 02/03/2019 12:52

He's not the only one to be deleting tweets.

TowelNumber42 · 02/03/2019 12:56

The BBC is fucked if the Waitrose frequenting masses decide they are no longer trustworthy. Without that public goodwill they are nothing. Goodbye whole licence fee going to the BBC. Hello sharing it out across anyone who actually educates and informs.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/03/2019 12:57

Nothing is ever totally deleted. Mwahaha.

Chrysanthemum5 · 02/03/2019 12:57

I can see his tweets but I may have a cached copy? I believe harrop is still in nz taking a social media break because of all his hurty feelings

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/03/2019 12:58

thats one hell of a flounce.

Thingybob · 02/03/2019 13:00

AH is back from NZ but not back on Twitter, his Twitter has been thinned out but most tweets still there. As Captain Kirk says lots of people are madly deleting tweets and many of the 'regulars' have gone very quiet or are getting involved in international affairs rather than Trans issues. Also Facebook pages are being locked down.

All very odd

SharkBastard · 02/03/2019 13:07

The wheels are coming off...Miranda's case being thrown out, sportswomen coming forward, it's all shaking the foundations

WeRiseUp · 02/03/2019 13:09

I'm so pleased that the sportswomen speaking out are top brass. It is very heartening.

Thingybob · 02/03/2019 13:10

I predict several resignations next week including SG

HamiltonCork · 02/03/2019 13:10

Don’t forget Ruth Hunt leaving Stronewall. Agreed that something very odd is going on.

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/03/2019 13:12

Well that's weird. Someone on Twitter said they were gone last night, so I had a look and couldn't see them, but now they are back again. Just twitter weirdness then. He hasn't get me blocked, as far as I can see.

BelleSausage · 02/03/2019 13:20

Very interesting that they’ve all gone quiet.

But interesting to see what drops. It is about time that some of the more heinous characters were held to account for their actions.

Needmoresleep · 02/03/2019 13:31

I think the Mail is worth watching

The only way all of this will be stopped is if Brexit ends cleanly, rather than in General Election. Hopefully there will be a leadership contest or a Conservative back bench rebellion on this issue. Otherwise Baroness Williams will continue on the same path (see thread on her interview with Pink News) and get 'reforms' through with the full support of Labour and LibDems. Hence Mail investing time and money in good journalism to raise the profile and increase understanding.
