I didn't realise Miranda Yardley was in court today over alleged transphobic harrasment.

At Basildon Magistrates Court where Miranda Yardley is on trial for transphobic Harassment. The prosecution applied for reporting restrictions to prevent the complainant Helen Islan from being named. The judge has not granted them. So Helen Islan can be named.

Sending Miranda good luck vibes.

I honestly don't understand how it's got this far if there is this little to go on.

TRAs in the system? I know it's very far fetched but I don't know what to believe any more.

I do hope you (Datun) are right and it's an attempt to stamp on all of this vexatious litigation which wastes everyone's time.

How old is Helen? From Joani's tweets she sounds like a stroppy teenager.

AIR on another occasion Helen got upset when her public tweets about how great puberty blockers are, were contrasted with a public forum post made by her child indicating that in fact Helen had some misgivings about said puberty blockers.

Miranda wasn't the one who tweeted this originally, I have no idea if Miranda later did though.

Basically Helen acting as an unlicensed medical adviser on t'internets then whining when she gets caught out.

Yes I thought they said transphobia. Was that misgendering? Or is it harassment?

I know Miranda was accused of doxing Helen's son/daughter (I honestly don't know which, sorry HQ). But was that what got him banned from Twitter? Or forms the basis of this prosecution?

All support for Miranda. The truth cannot be transphobic, biology cannot be transphobic. We must be able to discuss reality. Not sure why this case is even being heard.....if it had no legs it would have been thrown out of court.

Hurrah!!!!! And very publicly proving, again, these cases never do turn out to be worthy of being brought in the first place. CPS take note.

Poor judge. Decades of studying law and had to spend an afternoon dealing with the kind of wittering the average lunchtime supervisor in a primary school playground sorts out on daily basis.

Emma Kennedy, author, is confused how a trans person can be in court for being transphobic.

I wouldn’t normally point this out as it usually doesn’t matter but I know that she married her female partners a couple of years ago. It’s interesting that someone in a same sex relationship is unaware of the trans movement.
