www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/transgender-women-should-entitled-womb-13972102

"Because once the medical community accept this as a treatment for cis-women with uterine infertility, such as congenital absence of a womb, then it would be illegal to deny a trans-female who has completed her transition.

"The most important step is the harvesting from the donor as great care is required to avoid damage to the arteries and veins supplying the uterus.
Trans females have a much narrower pelvis than cis-women of the same height, but there would still be room for them to carry a child.

“Supplemental hormones could be taken to replicate the changes that occur in the body when a woman is pregnant.

Crikey, Coach.

You are handling it brilliantly. No need at all to go public.

I wonder if any of the other forces actually bothered to look into the "evidence" helpfully provided by these nutters when they wanted to silence someone on social media?

HarrytheOwl was spoken to about his "30 tweets" but the officer involve neglected to mention exactly which 30 tweets were supposedly offensive. Can't help but wonder if some of these tweets were actually made up?

Coach - I wish you well with your meetings.

It is good that at least one police force is questioning what is happening. I think there has been a lot of jobsworth-type stuff of just 'following procedures' which has been taken advantage of. It seems that once these activists find one way/loophole to allow them harass, they milk it for all it's worth. Maybe that will be the downfall.

Smotheroffive · 14/02/2019 20:44

Awesome coach be careful what you say on here in case its picked up and detracts from your case at all. It may well be looked for, just a heads up to avoid any further convolutions!

Welcome robjessel and good luck with your worthy endeavours!

ICJump · 14/02/2019 21:03

Coach you sound so level headed about this.

CoachBombay · 14/02/2019 21:38

Thank you all, apologies for the delayed reply it's been a hectic bed time here!!

I'm now going to just leave it with the CPS and the police as it's a police matter and say no more on it, and hopefully my meeting with my MP goes well also.

In reply to the question would my criminal record be "clear" had I not spoken up, the answer is yes. Any false allegations are deemed so immediately and no "mark" is placed against that person.

It is of my opinion that anyone who believes they can falsify evidence and edit social media posts to increase statistics on hate crime or to villified someone else, has greatly underestimated the trouble it will cause them in the long run. My advice to anyone who thinks this is a great way to "boost statistics" would be a clear and definite, it is not wise, you will get caught out and you will face the consequences of doing so in one way or another. 🤷

Thank you for following this through. First, and at its most simple, it is an attempt to use police forces to bully.

But second free speech is vital to a civilised society. How dare they.

Apologies if this has already been posted, I haven't read every page on this thread.

This extract - from a MedicalJournal in 2017 - was posted on twitter.
It's from a paper considering using uteri removed from FtM.
Chilling.

I assume the idea here is that these uteri would be used as organs for donation to other natal women though. I'm not saying it's necessarily a good idea even in that case, but there seems to be no suggestion this would be anything other than organ donation between two natal women? Or am I missing something?

Smotheroffive · 15/02/2019 14:31

Its a major flaw in the study that its not explicit about the recipients of donated uteri.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 15/02/2019 17:10

Possibly the authors assumed that it would be obvious that only female bodies could accept a uterus, and I think a PP noted that transplants can only be offered to bodies which have space for the organ in the first instance, otherwise it would not be a transplant but an implant.

I might be getting that last bit wrong but I think most medics would simply assume that people would know it would be to a female recipient.

Iused2BanOptimist · 15/02/2019 17:59

Re Coach and police visits. How do the police find posters who are anonymous?
I am careful to use a non regular non identifying email address for social media. Different for different sites. Never give a telephone number. Stay anonymous and try not to post anything identifying. So I'd like to know how so many posters have been identified?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 15/02/2019 18:42

No organ transplant is a ‘right’ for the recipient - each one is a gift from someone.

Ereshkigal · 15/02/2019 19:33

This might have been covered earlier, but I'm a bit confused about the mechanics of this? Given it would have to be IVF how would they get someone else's fertilised embryo in there? Presume SRS needed?

Smotheroffive · 15/02/2019 21:08

Optimist your email etc doesn't necessarily matter, its a combination and would also be the IP address you are posting from, which tracks you geographically, but all your data is linked now by the device you use. As in, you sign onto your account on your device and everything is logged against that.

Smotheroffive · 16/02/2019 02:03

Because the donors are trans, I would have thought it necessary to be explicit.

irnbruforlife · 16/02/2019 08:07

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6710751/Transgender-women-birth-time-thanks-pioneering-womb-transplants.html this suggests it might get the go ahead.

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 16/02/2019 08:21

In the study cited, the women had their ovaries and tubes removed as well as their uterus. Would this increase the likelihood of a successful outcome if implanted into another female?

I agree with PP the study was looking at the quality of the donor organs and not considering recipients.

CoachBombay · 16/02/2019 11:07

Ali I don't know, can the male pturity gland signal the production of HCG? It's not produced by the ovaries I don't think, and it's the crucial hormone needed.

If it doesn't how are they going to decided on the level of HCG required to dose the patient with, because every woman produces different levels of HCG to sustain a pregnancy, and each pregnancy for the same woman won't have the same set HCG levels. So would it be a guessing game?🤷

R0wantrees · 16/02/2019 11:51

Its noticeable that in the Daily Mail article the rights, needs and welfare of any potential feotus or baby are not discussed. THe focus is on adults' rights, focus and needs eg medics, lawyers, campaigners and transpeople etc

My understanding is that the reasons why UK surrogacy laws are being contested is that they place a much higher focus and centre on the needs, welfare and rights of the child than other countries' surrogacy laws eg US.

Smotheroffive · 16/02/2019 14:53

The hcg production is shared, initially its produced by the fertilisation process and after first trimester the DM takes over production, which is when all the yukky bits of the first trimester usually pass.

Smotheroffive · 16/02/2019 14:56

I fear many lives will be lost in the higher interests and supposed needs of men.

All this talk is, currently, around something that illegal

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 18/02/2019 13:54

Not merely fathering a child

yay for Jane's children! feeling so pleased to have jane as a father right now I expect!

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 18/02/2019 13:56

oh god that was a load of mawkish bobbins

extreme porn advocate Jane Fae makes my flesh creep

IDoN0tCare · 18/02/2019 14:01

Wow! So there you go kids! The person you previously knew as your father doesn’t love you as much as they would, if they had given birth to you. That must make the children feel loved and secure, because watching their father come out as trans didn’t already tuck them up.
