Nah. That random man is actually a well-known politician who is the leader of the political party who organised the conference.
I don't think there's any way Posie wouldn't know who he was, and if she'd done her homework on Allianse (the political party involved) she would surely have declined this one.
Is it possible you've misunderstood the Norwegian? Mot Dag was a far left magazine and group of intellectuals in the 1930s and this conference is a far left conference organised by a man who's been an active anti-war campaigner and socialist since the 70s.
Alliansen clearly state on their FB page that members of their party are going to the conference as nothing more than attendees and that they can sponsor tickets for anyone who wants to go who can't afford it, not that they have organised or hosted it.
FYI, in European politics there is currently an overlap between right wing and left wing groupings in a shared and total mistrust of main stream media. If you've got an interest in this area, you might recognise the names of independent journalists Vanessa Beeley and Eva Bartlett (variously lauded as heroes or stooges, depending on where you stand regarding US American foreign politics).
And the conference agenda features media criticism quite heavily which is of interest for the far right, too; there's usually also debate of strategies and tactics in dealing with mainstream media. If you look at events in Germany in recent years, while far right group members continue to react aggressively to the presence of journalists, their leaders are increasingly assertive and savvy in their media management strategies, and this may be seen as a chance to learn new ones.
One of the other conference agenda items, identity politics is as derided amongst the far left as amongst the far right and gender ideology is merely one part of that whole shebang, so again, there may be some interest from right wing people at this event.
To say therefore that having a number of far right attendees amongst mainly left wing attendees - something Posie has had neither influence on nor foreknowledge of - makes the whole conference one of the far right is a nonsense of course, as is the assertion that Posie speaking here demonstrates that she's allied/aligned with the far right.
Finally, women's rights are human rights that all those born female are entitled to. Neither her views nor her political alliances nor her association with people others object to ever disqualify a woman from her entitlement to those rights. And none of these disqualify her from joining in a campaign for those rights either. Whether others wish to stand alongside her or keep their distance that is up to each and every woman to decide.
But I for one won't be dictated to by anyone that I have to distance myself. There are a number of issues I expect to campaign on in the future and I expect on any individual issue, I will campaign alongside people I otherwise vehemently disagree with on all of the other issues.
And on this one issue, I will do that, too.
Whether they're called Jean or Posie or Rosa or Venice or whoever else will next fall out with one another over questionable associations, motivations, perceived sleights or real insults.
