How could the:
Stylist
Photographer
Editor
Parent
Drag Queen

Any of these adults think this is okay?

How?

It's seriously disturbing

noblegiraffe · 12/01/2019 11:32

Clothed female naked male is a genre of erotica, which I assume was deliberate. That poor child needs to be removed from that environment immediately.

OrchidInTheSun · 12/01/2019 11:43

The boy with the balloon is also Queen Lactatia aka Nemis Quinn Melancon Golden.

According to Prick News, the poor kid was horrifically abused for modelling for an LBGTQ clothing store. The clothing store which is owned by the man who posted the photo of Nemis with the balloon Hmm

www.pinknews.co.uk/2018/01/09/exclusive-nine-year-old-drag-queen-horrifically-abused-after-modelling-for-lgbt-fashion-company/

Nemis wasn't horrifically abused - the disgusting adults exploiting him were.

AngryAttackKittens · 12/01/2019 12:18

You have to wonder about the mindset of someone who'd see a bunch of people going "wait, is that kid OK?" the kid being "abused".

Epanoui · 12/01/2019 12:33

This is disgusting. So so inappropriate. What on earth are his parents thinking?

Beerflavourednipples · 12/01/2019 12:43

There aren't actually all that many things that actually make my face go properly Shock but this is one of them.

Both of the photos in this thread actually make me feel sick, that poor boy. What the actual fuck does that adult need to be naked? How can Nemis's mum let that happen?

Just before Xmas we went to a friends party with our kids (our friends don't have kids?) We stayed quite late and all the other kids had gone so the only people that were left were adults who were getting increasingly pissed, some of them we didn't know. DS (8) was having a bloody great time dancing with the adults and they thought he was brill and great fun, but something protective in me kicked in and I suddenly felt a bit uncomfortable with it all. I know there was nothing to worry about and I was right there, but DS amongst all these adults we didn't really know, the dynamic just seemed a bit wrong, and as it was getting late anyway, we left. I felt like it was an protective instinct.

I cannot imagine any fucking situation where I would allow my child to pose with a naked adult. How can it not be a child protection issue, same for 'Eat a Dick'. Is he at school I wonder?

Melanippe · 12/01/2019 12:47

This is grooming, plain and simple. It is not homophobic to notice this, it would be equally grooming if the child was a young girl. I have some problems with drag, none of which are based on homophobia, but on the spectrum of parodies of women as either sexualised objects or ugly harridans, but this isn't an image of drag either.

AngryAttackKittens · 12/01/2019 12:51

Why is the drag queen naked anyway? Was he changing into a different outfit while the child was in the room? If so, why did nobody suggest that maybe that wasn't appropriate?

NotANotMan · 12/01/2019 12:51

The boy with the balloon is lactatia

Also wearing an outfit by and promoting house of mann (google it)

Datun · 12/01/2019 12:58

That photo is the sort of photo that is on the hard drives of paedophiles when they're arrested. And yes, I know there are worse.

But this one is being feted in public.

Drag is now being used to blur the lines between theatre and paedophilia.

Like a previous poster, I'm utterly shocked. The fucking nerve.

I've said it before, but a website like mumsnet, where women are coming together, is one of the few weapons against this sort of shit being normalised.

As long as people don't think it's actually going to happen to them, they can look the other way. But when bloody 12 million of them are all talking about it, they can't.

Datun · 12/01/2019 13:05

This is also the kid who is filmed saying if your parents disagree with this sort of thing, get new parents.

ChewyLouie · 12/01/2019 13:18

When these children invariably grow up and start to ask questions, how on earth will their parents justify their blatant exploitation of their own child? The parents clearly have no understanding of boundaries, they need therapy and in the meantime authorities are sitting back and enabling this abuse.

OrchidInTheSun · 12/01/2019 13:20

www.huckmag.com/art-and-culture/style/queen-lactacia-child-drag-queen/

Tell me this isn't grooming. Tell me this isn't paedophilia hiding in plain sight.

Datun · 12/01/2019 13:20

Elsewhere this has been published, I'm seeing gay people furious. Claiming it's giving homosexuality a bad name.

SunsetBeetch · 12/01/2019 13:26

Ah - thanks Orchid.

How stupid are Pink News? They are playing right into the hands of ultra right wing conservatives by trying to frame criticism of child drag acts as homophobic.

I fear a nasty, puritanical backlash against the whole of LGBT+ with this kind of anything goes attitude. We're going to go backwards in terms of rights and acceptance if this madness continues.

SunsetBeetch · 12/01/2019 13:27

Cross posts there, Datun. I totally agree.

ScienceIsTruth · 12/01/2019 13:28

GCSocScientist, I know what you're trying to say, and I'm not trying to get at you, but it's not child porn, as children cannot consent (seeing as they're underage), it's child exploitation and abuse. Words matter.

OrchidInTheSun · 12/01/2019 13:33

Yes of course it is. Gay men have fought for years to not be viewed as paedophiles and this is so bloody regressive.

Ereshkigal · 12/01/2019 13:42

^Prepared to be flamed but I also
Don’t think a 10 year old should be doing drag ....^

You're not going to be flamed for this on FWR.

Datun · 12/01/2019 13:43

It's rather worrying that anyone would think they would be flames to for objecting to a drag queen called after breastfeeding, who was a 10-year-old boy.

Ereshkigal · 12/01/2019 13:44

Ah, ok. Thanks, AAK. I don't know if that's better or worse than an invasion of MAP types.

One appeared on AIBU this morning.

Ereshkigal · 12/01/2019 13:46

How stupid are Pink News?

Pretty stupid. Their anything goes for LGBT ideology is a hill they will die on.

Melanippe · 12/01/2019 13:49

Of course a 10 yr old shouldn't be doing drag! As adults and parents we're supposed to protect and nurture children, not cover them in make up, expose them to all sorts and earn money off their exposure. I'm absolutely sure those two lads ARE loving the spotlight right now, but so did Cory Haim, Corey Feldman and River Phoenix.

RedemptiveCrocodile · 12/01/2019 13:58

The trouble with grooming is that the child isn't aware of being groomed. I don't hold much hope that these boys will wake up one day and recognise the a use they've suffered, when they have no other frame of reference. Much like asking the fish "how's the water" and the fish saying "what water?"
These boys will slide right into the adult world they've been raised up to see as normal and acceptable.

How are we going to stop this from happening again? If there are two famous boys now, how many will there be in another decade?

LangCleg · 12/01/2019 14:28

I'm not surprised. SIGH. I hope we won't see protective applications of guidelines. I will lose the plot.
