to wonder why some people just don't get it?

Why don’t people get it?
There was a post on Facebook yesterday, regarding male violence, with regards self ID and crime statistics. Someone on the thread mentioned male violence patterns. They were jumped on by many angry voices, saying things like: “you’re a transphobic piece of shit” and “you’re a complete bigot, trans women are women you moron” and “trans women are not men, so you can’t bring them into the discussion”
I mean, it’s illogical and surely at some level these people must know that? Are they deliberately pretending not to understand or do they genuinely just avoid thinking coherently on Trans issues. Is it easier to bleat TWAW and #no debate than think it through? I just don’t get it. These are really intelligent women too. (for some reason, men are faster to understand the GC discussion than women)

I have been posting here a long time Pennydrew and again you are not the moderator of this forum.

It is my opinion that a significant part of threads on subjects like "wife- work" are little more than moaning about men (although couched in terms of how much the patriarchy oppresses women) as opposed to actually doing anything practical about sorting out the problem.

You do not welcome other opinions. You seem to have a problem with an opinion which doesn't fall within the radfem echo chamber.

Pennydrew your last post is quite ironic really given how much time is spent on here on the subject of women being told to shut up.

Marguerita is Lass Wi A Delicate Air with a name change, if anybody missed her post telling us this.

I’m not claiming to be a moderator but I can say whatever I want within the rules thanks. And you’re a misogynist. I’m also not a radfem so nice try but wrong, again.

Pennydrew142 · 17/12/2018 08:06

LangCleg oh thanks, that fits

Whatever Penny. I still think it's ironic given the amount of complaining , indeed moaning, on here about women being told to shut up that you tell a woman to "bore off" and "piss off" and "you're a misogynist".

Not the most compelling arguments are they? And all basically the same as "shut up"

The hypocrisy of some feminists, no matter what label they attach to themselves, is always amusing.

As for staying with in the forum rules - is telling another poster who has not been rude to you to "bore off", "piss off" accusing them of being "goady" playing by the rules? Or is that just more hypocrisy?

As was pointed out above, I put the phrase 'moaning about men' in quotation marks as an example of how easy it is to dismiss a poster's opinion with disingenuous responses.

It was a direct reply to being called a 'sad bastard' and the suggestion that I was 'setting women right'.
