Lily Madigan and the School Saga

Lily Madigan has been self-praising again, with more details about how they "sued" their school.

They hired a "team of solicitors", to "advice" Lily and the "principle" gave in on all their "demands".

The truth is slightly different.

Lily arrived at school wearing basically a boob tube. They were sent home because it was against uniform policy. Any girl wearing that for school would have been asked to change or go home. It's clear Lily was looking for a reason to kick things off.

Lily was not "made to wear a man's suit". They were asked to adhere to the school uniform - like any pupil. The girls wear a blazer too and can wear a skirt or trousers; many girls choose to wear trousers and the blazer.

Lily organised a petition. It was an ONLINE petition, quite different to a paper one. The support Lily claimed she had is very difficult to prove.

The school's staff tried very hard to placate Lily. They had meetings with their mother, the pastoral care team, etc - and got nowhere. It apparently caused distress to Lily's younger sister who was at school.

Lily contacted a solicitor in London. Because of the Equality Act the school did have to cater to transgender pupils - and when the school was informed of their obligations they changed their policy in accordance to the Act.

There was no suing of the school. There was no legal action, certainly no "legal battle", as Lily repeatedly claims.

There was no victimisation of Lily. Afterwards, the school said they had tried very hard for Lily and their words and actions had been deliberately twisted.

And now Lily still says that "they won", they "got it all", and that they did all this behind their parents' backs, and then "embarked on a media tour".

Lily's parents knew about it all, right from the day Lily was sent home.

Reading the ridiculousness of Lil’s latest tweets, I’m wondering is Lil actually a performance artist, exploiting social media and their responders for purposes of barmy creative genius? Just a thought.

OlennasWimple · 10/01/2019 21:40

I have often wondered this about D Moscato, Latinista. But no, sadly, I think they are both deadly serious

Ereshkigal · 10/01/2019 22:13

Can someone explain or point me to a link?

Read the link that R0wantrees posted. You'll need to set aside a couple of hours!

dillydallyXX · 11/01/2019 23:26

As a funny aside, here's the latest Madigan.

Is it true? Who knows? It is typically vague, so probably a made-up story to get tweets and attention.

"This fashion mag". "Enough". Vague and ridiculous!

I'm not sure that they have your best interests at heart, Lily

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/01/2019 08:12

It’s early and I can’t find the link to the period poverty thread but I just read an article in the standard about a student demanding free tampons at schools. Good so far. Now I may have missed it but I don’t think the words ‘girl’ or ‘woman’ was actually used once - in quotes or the reporting.

Do we not exist anymore?

Sorry there are the words used in a quote at the end from the DoE.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 12/01/2019 08:21

I think the word "children" was used deliberately to be inclusive and all that shit.

Terfing · 12/01/2019 08:25

Yes, but with pink hair Lily will be even more of a lady, surely?

Pink= girl's color

Duh.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/01/2019 09:06

When I was a young woman - yes we bitched and whined about being condescendingly called ladies and girls.

Little did we know... only men playing female dress up are the ladies and girls these days. We are ‘not men’.

AbsintheFriends · 12/01/2019 10:06

The pink hair twitter convo perfectly encapsulates the tricky position our Lil now finds themself in. 'I'm a poor, dispossessed, vulnerable young girl - here's a link to my PayPal' Vs 'I'm a rising superstar media darling, bestie of Cara Delavigne. Contact me for bookings - if you can afford my fees.'

Someone with more awareness, and less need to show off, might have answered the question with 'it's not really about money' or similar. That 'enough' gives away so much about Lily. (I'm suddenly reminded of the Aesop's fable about the fox and the crow...)

Jedwardof the political scene

Theswaggyotter · 12/01/2019 11:13

Yes you are so right absinthe it’s all so shallow and memememe. And a bit like the AC situation where one minute they are confused because of their ‘autism’ and the next they are a trailblazer oxford uni ‘expert’ etc.
Hmm

Cismyfatarse1 · 12/01/2019 11:59

Just saw this on Twitter. Dated last year and can't authenticate it but WTF

SirVixofVixHall · 12/01/2019 13:09

Hmmm..”partially sighted” I am assuming that means “wears contact lenses” or possible just “one eye closed”.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/01/2019 13:52

Can’t see in the dark?

andyoldlabour · 12/01/2019 13:53

The partially sighted comment is simply another attempt at appropriation, where LM feels entitled to piggy back on someone, in order to create an impression of empathy.

SirVixofVixHall · 12/01/2019 14:12

Can’t find own arse with both hands ?

NotANotMan · 12/01/2019 20:10

I saw that tweet on Lily's timeline, it's genuine. Lily never seems to wear glasses let alone any other visual aids. Lily may wear contact lenses but so do millions of people and we aren't partially sighted.

OlennasWimple · 12/01/2019 20:25

LM wears glasses sometimes - big ones that Deirdre Barlow would pass over as frumpy (but what would I know about fashion with my cishet middle aged white woman views on stuff, eh)

dillydallyXX · 12/01/2019 20:41

The glasses Madigan sometimes wore a bit ago are fake. They are fashion ones you can get at Topshop or anywhere -- definitely not prescription.

But we will see the makeover soon. They are being paid "enough money" for a fashion magazine photoshoot, possibly with pink hair.

As usual with a Madigan story though, concrete details on are thin on the ground.

OP posts:
dillydallyXX · 13/01/2019 12:21

So Madigan, who is being paid for fashion magazine photoshoots, says they have a part-time job in a pub, and is safely esconced at Goldsmiths, is begging again.

Someone has pointed out that it is dishonest, as Madigan has said they have already transitioned, will never have hormones or surgery, and have never been a man.
