Hope this works. We should all be able to watch the Westminster hall self ID debate today at 9.30 am live.

Not sure if you can go back and watch it later...

And what’s with all the women mps doing wee sad faces and hushed voices when speaking about trans gender ppl
Are they all like the second deities who are walking on earth now and need the special treatments

Popchyk · 21/11/2018 11:05

"It's about the marriage then becoming a same-sex marriage, without the consent of the non-transitioning partner. "

That is gay conversion, surely? Forcing a partner to become a lesbian or gay man?

God, these people are thick.

OldCrone · 21/11/2018 11:07

You can't prosecute anyone for a fraudulent declaration, because all they are declaring is that they intend to live as the opposite sex for the rest of their lives. You cannot prove that that was not true at the time they made the declaration.

It can be true at the time, but not true at a later date (which might be the next day). They would never get a successful prosecution.

nellieellie · 21/11/2018 11:08

This was misogyny is action. All those women wanting to be nice and move over for the lovely trans women.
God the irony!

howard97A · 21/11/2018 11:08

It's transprivilege.

Popchyk · 21/11/2018 11:09

Exactly.

Otherwise people who divorce would be prosecuted for fraud because they did the whole "till death do us part" thing at the wedding.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 21/11/2018 11:09

Slightly off topic but thanks for sharing OP - I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even know I could watch parliamentary debate live.
I've kept it on for the current one too "Rape Myths and Juries ". According to CPS figs, only 17% of sexual violence is ever actually reported. Jesus Blush

AbsintheFriends · 21/11/2018 11:11

I really, really hope Jane Clare Jones does a transcription of this, and counters every lie, distraction and disingenuity with the truth.

nellieellie · 21/11/2018 11:11

@OldCrone - exactly. To convict anyone, there would need to be a recording or writing saying “I do not intend to live forever as a woman. I am telling porkies” with a date of the same day as the stat Dec. Now. That IS unlikely.

Popchyk · 21/11/2018 11:12

Oh, I've just realised about the gay conversion thing.

Gay people converted to being straight against their will = bad

Straight people converted to being gay against their will = good

Fine. I've got it now.

LikeDust · 21/11/2018 11:13

My instinct tells me this is exactly how Helen Belcher visualised the whole thing looking and this tweet could have been written in advance.

littlbrowndog · 21/11/2018 11:14

It wasn’t a debate at all
Jeez I have seen more debate at a pta meeting
It was just well some women spouting propaganda

JamieAndPukka · 21/11/2018 11:15

They buy the belief that souls go from body to body. They don't care, respect or understand that others don't buy this (because possibly they are bullying narcissists who believe only they can have right thoughts ) and that they along with everyone are allowed to have their own beliefs and opinion.

They are so limited and dangerous MPs.

SuffragettesStruggledForThis · 21/11/2018 11:16

Gay people converted to being straight against their will = bad

Unless one of the partners is trans. If you as a lesbian aren't interested in a "self-identifying woman", that's transphobia.

Datun · 21/11/2018 11:16

So take a predator. Who has a penis they thoroughly enjoy and is also interested in children.

They sign the declaration. They go and hang out at toddler swim. Moisturising their thighs after their swim, just like any other woman, whilst glancing at all the children.

They're very friendly and chatty to the mums - your little Johnny is sweet, how old is he? Massage, smirk. Not illegal, backed up with a piece of paper. You go out to the reception and say something. What can they do? Do they suddenly say no mosturising in the changing rooms? No smiling? No talking to mothers?

If anyone questions them, they have a piece of paper in their pocket that says there are perfectly entitled to be there. Smirking and moisturising isn't a crime.

Anlaf · 21/11/2018 11:17

There should be a hansard transcript at some point (saves JCJ some typing).

Not sure how quick they are.

nellieellie · 21/11/2018 11:18

For the first woman to say it woukd be the most stupid thing to go into a woman’s changing room claiming to be trans as it would “increase the sentence”.
WHAT?
Man claims to be trans, goes into women’s changing room. Watches women undress, maybe records secretly on phone. No one reports BECAUSE HE SAYS HES TRANS, and that’s quite OK. Even if at some point there is an assault that 1. Gets investigated 2. Results in man actually getting caught. - it’s not much comfort that he may get a longer sentence, and probably won’t because WHO CAN PROVE he’s not trans if trans is SELF ID. There is NO possibility of fraud entering in with self Id. Because self Id is someone SAYING they Id. There is NO LEGAL REQUIREMENT for the to ACTUALLY ID.

OldCrone · 21/11/2018 11:18

All those women saying people need to be better educated about transgender issues, when they were hopelessly uninformed themselves. David Davies was the only one who seemed to properly understand the issues. The women all seemed to have been groomed by the likes of Heather Peto and Helen Belcher.

nellieellie · 21/11/2018 11:19

And anyway, they can be totally genuinely trans and still get their rocks off in a woman’s changing room.

MsJeminaPuddleduck · 21/11/2018 11:19

Andrew Gilligan wrote that it's was actively pushed by someone in govt. Added that it was someone powerful but unexpected (which seems to suggest not just Bercow)

The attendance and whole thing is extremely depressing. Given the media coverage I agree it looks odd unless MPs are still too scared to publicly out themselves?

WringingOut · 21/11/2018 11:22

It's not just young school children being groomed by older peers, narcissist adults are prone to it too.Sad

Popchyk · 21/11/2018 11:23

You mean like this guy, datun?

Argus link

Salesman in sports bra exposed himself in children’s play area

"But at Brighton Magistrates Court, the father-of-two denied any sexual element, claiming he was scratching his private parts because of chronic athlete’s foot".

Because of course we should be making it easier for this guy to tend to his athlete's foot (in his genitals) in the female changing rooms.

MsJeminaPuddleduck · 21/11/2018 11:23

Given all the strange things happening over last few days:

  • the new policy at Sussex that trans politics etc can only be covered in a 'positive' light
  • emergency motion by Scottish Greens that trans exclusionary views (presumably meaning gender critical) are not welcome in the party

I think it is likely that as well as MPs still being apathetic and/ or scared, that some have been lent on to not attend.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 21/11/2018 11:25

May would be very powerful and very unexpected.

Didn't she want to cure gays many years ago?

Maybe this is her solution.
