Looks like some of the unpleasant Lewisham Momentum based chums of LM have had a big spat with a housemate.

Apparently this now has something to do with LM and them supporting her for woman's officer, and they are blaming Te*fs.

Okay hands up... which mumsnetter has been breaking and entering in Lewisham. Come on own up.

This latest drama has been brought to you by Dr Haddock and the over sensitive flowers!

AspieAndProud · 12/11/2018 09:03

Unlike Wolfie Smith, Cheryl Hall, who played his girlfriend, went into grown up politics:

Hall was the Labour Party parliamentary candidate for Canterbury in the 1997 General Election. She also served as a member of Kent County Council, holding the position of Leader of the Labour group for a period.

I reckon the dress wearing Young One would have been vyvyan, he’s got a head start with the name and the facial studs

It was , but the dress belonged to Rik.

This brings to mind a twrribledrama in my own house which I would like to ask about, but unfortunately I don't pist on twitter... can I ask here? The situation is that my 7 year old has a frenimy who fairly often calls him a baby. My 7 year old gets quite upset because he doesn't identify as a baby and is a bit oversensitive. This escalated when frenimy wrote baby [name] on his maths book.

Is this literal violence?

Fortunately 7 year old has an ally who last year put a note in his bag to tell him that she knows he isn't a baby and frenimy smells. It's worrying though because frenimy might not identify as smelly...

KatVonGulag · 12/11/2018 09:31

Nursery politics indeed

Team Red Biro go back to someone's room in a Lewisham house after a night on the lash. They are noisy. They get bollocked. In retaliation to being bollocked a man in their group writes "terf gang" on the wall. Apparently after the others had left.

Team Red Crayon TWAW (the other housemates) are pissed off with the mess and the fact they've been woken up, so they decide to evict the tenant responsible (that they are illegally sub letting to) with no warning. Not even giving him chance to clear up.

Fragrant Lily is best friends with team Red Crayon, having probably known them for a whole 3 months. So she decides to accuse Team Red Biro of breaking and entering to commit transpohobic hate crime. This is tweet is shared by lecturers, journalists and doctors.

So essentially drunken twattery magically tranforms into transphobic hate crime. Aimed at lily! More evidence of the war on trans people.

And of course it's all the woman's fault. Her name is Morgan Horn and she's was woman's officer for Scottish young labour. Well that is until fragrant Lily contacted them and persuaded them to sack her. No investigation. No due process. On the word of someone who holds no position in the Labour party (other than a student group). Morgan was a member of team Red Biro but was not the person that wrote on the wall. She is however guilty by association of thought crime and sentenced to BE BURNED AT THE STAKE AS A TERF.

Judging by the feedback on the thread all Team Red Crayon have achieved is the peak transing of dozens more people. You don't win hearts and minds by bullying.

RedToothBrush

Haven't read the full thread yet but just had to say I am utterly PMSL and 'well Ze started it' - thanks for making me snort my coffee out Grin

LangCleg · 12/11/2018 09:42

oh god,
why
am I so much more sensitive than everybody else ?
why
do I feel things so much more acutely than them,
and understand so much more.
I bet I'm the first person who's ever felt as rotten as this.
could it be
that I'm going to grow up
to be a great poet and thinker, and all those other wankers in my class
are going to have to work in factories or go on the dole?
yes, I think it could.

Grauniad · 12/11/2018 09:51

SO
Morgan
who didn't write something
that could be taken as either calling people TERFs or
claiming to be TERFs
on the wall of a house that's not Lily's
when Lily was nowhere near
has been fired for
...erm...

Nope, I'm lost.

sackrifice · 12/11/2018 09:53

Again, looking at the bigger picture - who loses out here?

Action of several men have resulted in a woman being pushed out of a position with no due process.

And that is how we can tell who is and isn't female.

sorenipples · 12/11/2018 09:53

I read somewhere in the twitter rabbit hole that the sub letter paid £500 a month for part of a living room seperated out by a cheap bookcase. He intended to repaint thr room before leaving but was prevented from doing so.

The graffiti was confined to his room, so could only cause offence because his privacy was invaded. Or maybe they knocked down the bookcase?

It sounds like no one was happy with the living arrangement (flat shares can be awkward at the best of times) but the illegal subletters used this as an excuse to expedite the process and kick him out on the street.

I really hope their landlord takes note and appropriate action.

NotMeOhNo · 12/11/2018 09:58

I love that poem! I have the young ones book too.

hipsterfun · 12/11/2018 10:04

So - LM (and others agreeing with LM on this issue) are fabricating the story that an evil "T*f gang" broke in and vandalised the house because of being t*fy?

I’m as ‘t**fy’ as the next GC person, but there’s literally nothing that could induce me to cross the threshold of a student dwelling.

LuggsaysNotaWomen · 12/11/2018 10:09

I don’t remember one party we had as students where we had to repaint and partially recarpet one room (because of burn marks) and repaint and reglaze a window in another. A quick wipe round with a magic sponge and a ten minute hunt to find some blu tac to rehang the posters is not a traumatic clear up you pussies.

I can’t be the only one thinking “Sure Jan”, on reading that the protagonist was upstairs “asleep” whilst violent marauders laid rampage to his dwellings. I’d bet a pound of cheese that he was awake the whole time and sent his girlfriend down to deal with them.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 12/11/2018 10:18

That FB page for the Young Eejits is comedy gold.

The only significant achievement LM has is in removing women from their Labour Party posts, how very feminist.

ouch.

WomanOfTime · 12/11/2018 10:18

That Facebook thread.

Complete with Lily fan berating the 'transphobes' for criticising Lily, because Lily is a 'young vulnerable woman' - but also somehow a capable politician? And then Lily's claim to have 'led' a campaign to save Sure Start Centres, neatly disproved.

I think my favourite is the one pointing out that working-class people couldn't care less if Lily was on the cover of Teen Vogue. Grin

UpstartCrow · 12/11/2018 10:21

I don't understand how they can beleive their system of kangaroo courts is better than the carceral feminism they rail against.

HerFemaleness · 12/11/2018 10:39

The SYL people involved in this fiasco should resign en masse for bringing the party in to disrepute.

From what Madigan has said in the Facebook thread it seems that Madigan has been gunning for Morgan for some time and seized upon this as a chance to get rid of a political opponent. Madigan doesn't seem to care if the allegations are true or not, Madigan appears to believe the ends justify the means.

Ringbinger · 12/11/2018 10:41

I’m trying to keep up. Have the unwanted Ben Sherman trousers changed gender yet?

KatVonGulag · 12/11/2018 10:46

Excellent point. Misgendering the trousers would top the mumsnets hate crime poll. Be careful.

OP posts:
PencilsInSpace · 12/11/2018 10:47

I need a link to the trousers.

Ereshkigal · 12/11/2018 10:47

I think my favourite is the one pointing out that working-class people couldn't care less if Lily was on the cover of Teen Vogue.

That was great! And Lily posted a picture of Lily and Cara Delavingne having a picnic as evidence of Lily's influence 😁

BreakWindandFire · 12/11/2018 10:47

So Lily's mates are sub-letting slum landlords, who turfed someone's belongings onto the street. Hardly socialist!

But what's clear is that because Morgan is known as gender critical, a tangential link so some spotty student bloke who crayoned their bedroom wall in a house that has nothing to do with LM, has been used to sack her for transphobia.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 12/11/2018 10:48

'I don't understand how they can beleive their system of kangaroo courts is better than the carceral feminism they rail against.'

Because carceral feminism involves disciplining both men and women, while kangaroo courts let the men off and only punish women, I would think.
definitely much better if you're a boy who wants to do what he wants and also bully women.

LangCleg · 12/11/2018 10:58

Lily posted a picture of Lily and Cara Delavingne having a picnic as evidence of Lily's influence

About ten seconds after posting that all trans people are by definition working class! I had to stop reading at that point - needed a swift trip to the loo cos was in danger of pissing my pants.
