Looks like some of the unpleasant Lewisham Momentum based chums of LM have had a big spat with a housemate.

Apparently this now has something to do with LM and them supporting her for woman's officer, and they are blaming Te*fs.

Okay hands up... which mumsnetter has been breaking and entering in Lewisham. Come on own up.

This latest drama has been brought to you by Dr Haddock and the over sensitive flowers!

I was a very boring sort of student and got involved in no such shenanigans.

Years later, however, when I was in my 40s, (female) partner and I had another couple of women round for dinner. We were sitting chatting in the living room after the meal when the doorbell went, to reveal two coppers.

They said they were responding to reports of a loud, unruly party at our house. I let them in and showed them the other three, bemused middle-aged lesbians sitting in an entirely silent room. We could, however, just about make out a bit of party noise coming from the next road and directed the rozzers over there.

That's the extend of my rock and roll lifestyle, right there.

So someone illegally sublet a flat, to someone who has antisocial dickhead mates and they all are so desperate for attention and publicity that everyone starts shouting transphobia and blame MN for starting it. Cos obviously it was us and The Times stirring up hate what did it. Then they all run off to the Labour Party HQ screeching, 'well Ze started it' and expecting compliance to kick the neo-liberals out in response. So they can say on social media how they won and defeated the Nazis.

Got it.

God I'm glad I'm 40 in 2018. Life was simple in Jarvis's Day and before twitter and Facebook.

RedToothBrush · 11/11/2018 21:40

What's wrong with nicking traffic cones?

ABitCrapper · 11/11/2018 21:44

No, no, no, you don't nick traffic cones! You merely relocate them. Preferably to be a hat on some pompous looking statue.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 11/11/2018 21:45

What's wrong with nicking traffic cones?

It's a total waste of energy. They weigh half a ton and even if you lug them to wherever you're going where are you supposed to put them? Shopping trolleys are easier to manoeuvre and you have a lot more fun on the way*

*I imagine.

AngryAttackKittens · 11/11/2018 21:47

I'm just surprised nobody called anyone else a Blairite, honestly.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 11/11/2018 21:49

I'm still shocked by 'lumpens'. Was that a one-off or is it standard terminology amongst young alleged leftists these days?

NotaRealLawyer · 11/11/2018 21:54

They need a REAL lawyer on the job.
Where there's blame, there's a claim.

LizzieSiddal · 11/11/2018 21:56

I know I shouldn’t laugh but that scribbling on the wall! It’s like a 3 year old has done it with a crayon. 😂

They could have least used some spray paint or a sharpie!

The Bullingdon Club is an exclusive all-male dining club for Oxford University undergraduates, though it is not officially recognised by that institution. It is noted for its wealthy members, grand banquets, boisterous rituals and destructive behaviour, such as the vandalising ("trashing") of restaurants and students' rooms. Many local outlets refuse to host these events.

In the last few years, the Bullingdon has been mentioned in the debates of the House of Commons in order to draw attention to excessive behaviour across the British class spectrum, and to embarrass prominent Conservative Party politicians who are former members of the Bullingdon. Johnson has since tried to distance himself from the club, calling it "a truly shameful vignette of almost superhuman undergraduate arrogance, toffishness and twittishness."

The Club's colours are sky blue and ivory. Members dress for their annual Club dinner in specially made traditional tailcoats in dark navy blue, with a matching velvet collar, offset with ivory silk lapel revers, brass monogrammed buttons, a mustard waistcoat, and a sky blue bow tie. There is also a Club tie, which is sky blue striped with ivory. These are all provided by the Oxford branch of court tailors Ede and Ravenscroft. In 2007 the full uniform cost around £3,500.

ponders

Ereshkigal · 11/11/2018 21:59

Because there is nothing to report?

Yes I realise that. It was a comment on Kennedy's ridiculous post.

GurlwiththeCurl · 11/11/2018 22:04

Laughing my head off at this thread - “breaches of the peace”! They are all such babies and complete amateurs. In my Uni days (late 70s) we were into punk, wore bin liners and razor blades. No lads just missed the toilet, but pissed out of the third floor windows at parties.

And none of this whining about it all afterwards. I’m so glad that my antics weren’t preserved forever on social media. I am so old now that my memory is going anyway.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 11/11/2018 22:04

Dh had a room full of traffic cones and road signs

A room...

AspieAndProud · 11/11/2018 22:10

I hope Netflix picks this up as a series.

It could be the next Breaking Bad

Weezol · 11/11/2018 22:14

You haven't lived until you've been sledging at 3am on piece of ' aquired' billboard big enough to seat five. So I'm told.

LassWiADelicateAir · 11/11/2018 22:16

Morgan Horn describes herself as Marxist-Leninist, Trade Unionist and Embattled Postgrad

In 2015 she joined the SNP due to disappointment over the failure of the separatist campaign in the referendum. She was some sort of equalities something or other for them. She's now back with Scottish Labour Party , having been dazzled by the wit, wisdom and charisma of Comrade Corbyn.

I do hope that between Madonna and Horn maintain a public profile as they, hopefully, will continue to ensure the unelectability of the Labour Party.

Should Lily be reading this, this comment has nothing to do with your being a transfer woman and everything to do with your, Horn's and Corbyn's political views.

LassWiADelicateAir · 11/11/2018 22:16

trans woman.

ChattyLion · 11/11/2018 22:17

I am enjoying reading the party nostalgia with booze and trips, graffiti and police call outs. Happy days! Smile

Weezol · 11/11/2018 22:17

This lot aren't getting as far as Breaking Even.

LassWiADelicateAir · 11/11/2018 22:18

And autocucumber made nonsense of this too.

I do hope that Madigan and Horn maintain a public profile as they, hopefully, will continue to ensure the unelectability of the Labour Party.

RedToothBrush · 11/11/2018 22:19

I hope Netflix picks this up as a series.

You laugh.

A swear there is a script and a market for a leftie version.

I'm thinking the Young Ones crossed with Citizen Smith but with modern posh kids, with non binary identities.

Channel 4 I will sue you if you steal my idea without full credit.

littlbrowndog · 11/11/2018 22:20

I did wonder if Madonna had joine Labour Party lass
I liked transfer woman

Redshoeblueshoe · 11/11/2018 22:41

Red I doubt anyone at C4 is old enough to know who Citizen Smith is.
Breaking even Grin

RedToothBrush · 11/11/2018 22:46

Well there you go. They can call it new and completely original and not ripped off from the 1970s in anyway.

(FWIW I am also not old enough to remember the series but the BBC kindly repeated everything 20 years later and subjected me to it).
