I hate the name Porn Star Martini and absolutely wont order one in a bar. So I won’t buy one in M&S either. I think it glamourises the porn industry and I am vehemently against that. But I’m sure I’m probably “professionally offended” and giving feminism a bad name 🙄

It's a cocktail. My favourite one actually. There's bigger and better things to stress about in life than the name of a drink being sold in a supermarket.

No, I don't particularly like the name, but that's what it's inventor decided to call it (presumably to make it stand out).

Truth be told it's a lovely cocktail (as is the raspberry version), but I wouldn't buy it pre-mixed anyway - it's not really the same thing as the Prosecco is meant to be "on the side" not in the drink.

Espresso Martini is my current cocktail of choice atm anyway , got a lovey kit off Amazon (with all the cocktail shaker etc and ingredients included). It was fab (ponders whether to order another for next weekend).....

You can but this drink in most bars. And pre mixed ones in most supermarkets, though they aren't as good.

No, nothing wrong at all with a high street retailer selling things that say "porn star" on them - obviously nothing to do with the harmful normalisation of porn that only today has been described as a public health issue as bad as smoking

but what part of it is AIMED at women? It's on every cocktail menu in every bar/restaurant I've been in recently, where I've ordered a margarita and DP has ordered a daiquiri, it is in no way advertised 'ah you woman, YOU must drink me as I claim you will become porn star esque upon consumption' In the same way a sex on the beach doesn't mean I'll get it.

Oh, great, now I'm going to have to imagine M&S porn for the rest of the day.

Pleasant, normal bodied men and women in comfy pyjamas having a cocoa before going into their bland bedrooms for pleasant but vaguely unsatisfactory missionary sex.

But at least the snacks afterwards are tasty.

I do find it distasteful that porn is so mainstream, but this really is not the hill I'm prepared to die on. Apart from anything else (a) it's an alcoholic drink so only on sale to over -18s and (b) it's in M&S foodhall so hardly going to be corrupting the yoof of today.

It's funny how many people need to say they have NO PROBLEM with it, love the cocktail, going to name my baby Pornstar etc. I mean by all means thanks for letting me know but feel free to go about your day, I'm not taking a survey and this isn't aibu.

There's a pub near where I live where they serve up a massive porn star cocktail for six (I think) in a giant martini glass with a bottle of Prosecco chaser. Young women take photos of each other all leaning over the glass drinking it with straws. I think that's a bit ugly and demeaning, and makes a joke of expecting/enticing young women to drink too much so they'll be sexually accessible. (After all the name is because 'passionfruit is an aphrodesiac' and a porn star needs to be gagging for it, amirite?!) All this alongside training women to never let their drink out of their sight to avoid being drugged.

So anyone who is saying they don't get it, that's where I'm coming from.
