I’ve filled it in too.

PenguindreamsofDraco · 19/10/2018 08:29

I did the FPFW one click a week or so ago but haven't had any acknowledgement that it was received. Should I have had one? Am now worrying something went wrong with mine and the several others I did on behalf of members of the family

justinhawkinsnavalfluff · 19/10/2018 09:16

Done. Me and DH

Beesandfrogsandfleas · 19/10/2018 09:23

Penguin dh did the one click and he got an email about it

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 19/10/2018 09:23

Done.
OH doing his today.

Needmoresleep · 19/10/2018 09:33

Just completed it for the second time, this time from my mother's perspective as her Attorney. I think legally I am entitled to speak on her behalf, and I can see no evidence that the Government has made any effort to publicise their consultation to the elderly or to those involved in elderly care.

t was a bit of an eye opener. My mother has dementia and simply won't get that someone she will see as a man is in fact a woman. She will be distressed and will lose the dignity she should be accorded.

One issue that often shocks people who find themselves looking after elderly parents is that loss of sexual inhibition often is often one of the social filters that can be lost. It is far from unknown for men to be found in women's rooms and vice versa. It can be very important for protection and safety reasons to be able to separate those with penises from those without.

Done! It's pretty slow but not that bad. This is the first (apart from voting) remotely political thing I have done in my life and I consider myself to have strong opinions
This was one thing I thought would regret if u didn't have my say
I'm pretty angry though and probably some of my responses reflect that!

yetanotherusernameAgain · 19/10/2018 09:46

I'm trying to do it now but the site is so slow - literally two minutes to load each page. It'll take me about 15 minutes to get back to the question where I left off and saved it last night.

arranfan · 19/10/2018 09:51

People who are having trouble with the site - you can email your answers to the Equalities Office.

On p.5 of the consultation document it also says you can send your replies by email.

Done. Did an email to my DM with a couple of links to Pips Bunce and the cyclist. She's done the quick link and last night forwarded my email to a dozen friends !

2BorNot2Bvocal · 19/10/2018 10:15

Penguin my acknowledgement went to Spam.

MyBeloved · 19/10/2018 10:18

Done via the one click version on FPTW.

MsJuniper · 19/10/2018 10:50

I just went to do it as I had been putting it off due to the length of time needed and saw they had put the one click version. I've submitted and hope it is helpful - I was worried they may not consider identical emails from various sources but I hope they do as it summarised what I wanted to say well.

yetanotherusernameAgain · 19/10/2018 10:54

Over an hour later and I'm still limping through. Keeping getting proxy errors but fortunately everything is still there when I refresh (so far!).

Sooooo tempted to do the one-click version but I'm determined to persevere with an individual response.

MyHomeHasPeculiarChildren · 19/10/2018 11:01

Finally done! I don't think I've ever waited so long for web pages to load in my life! Thanks to FPFW, WPUK and the 'much more eloquent than me' women on these threads for helping me to organise thoughts and actually answer the questions.

CriticalCondition · 19/10/2018 11:03

Yup. And this morning got 3 other people to do the one-click version.

yetanotherusernameAgain · 19/10/2018 11:13

Up to Question 20 now. I just want to scream "Gender is different to sex".

Meanwhile the rest of the internet is working at normal speed and I'm checking out the Future Learn course that someone posted about a few weeks ago. It's free and starts on 12 November.

"Beyond the Ballot: Women’s Rights and Suffrage from 1866 to Today"

FekkoTheLawyer · 19/10/2018 11:33

Poor DS was given a lecture about sex vs gender last night. He was trying to eat his dinner in peace.

He gets the self ID issue though and mentioned to me about trans bullying being used as a means of shutting down any debate completely off his own bat one day.

Hubblebubbletripletrouble · 19/10/2018 11:50

Please could someone post links to the websites useful to read before filling in? I have the FPFW women but what are other good ones?

beldaran · 19/10/2018 11:53

Just done mine, used FPFW to help.

After a distressing conversation with my DD last night I couldn't leave it be. I don't think the TRAs realise how much harm they are doing to vulnerable young people.

arranfan · 19/10/2018 11:54

Hubblebubbletripletrouble - another gender critical set of guidance is WPUK:

womansplaceuk.org/wpuk-guidance-on-gra-consultation/#question-1

If you wish to read other approaches, then there's Amnesty and Stonewall.

Hubblebubbletripletrouble · 19/10/2018 11:54

(And I would search through the threads but I have terrible internet and pages won’t load!)

ProfessoressWoland · 19/10/2018 11:58

The WPUK guidance was very helpful.

yetanotherusernameAgain · 19/10/2018 11:58

Finished! Two sodding hours just to give mostly one-sentence answers. But at least I've added my voice.

Hubblebubbletripletrouble · 19/10/2018 11:59

Do you have a link for WPUK guidance? Sorry!
