Hey up women - someone has arrived to show us how to do 'womaning' right

Thank god - we were waiting for this revolutionary message.

I had no idea how to "take ownership of and assert agency over my own body" till this [person] policed the fuck out of 'what makes a woman'!

(PS I unashamedly enjoy sex too, but the stick-on-hearts would probably end up on the duvet, so not that revolutionary, as someone has to tidy up afterwards!)

Admittedly if 'expressing myself sexually' means 'sitting in a chair', I am already the modern Anais Nin.

But there's something about sitting still in a chair with tits out, crippling heels on, 2 hours in the hair salon down, and teeth to the wind. That's what feminism is all about. Erm.

All puffa jacket and a vagina coat, Bowl, is what I think you probably meant to post!

That version of feminism is so last year...

we've all moved on now to important stuff like protecting our very existence.

Keep up

BiologyMatters · 07/10/2018 20:23

I express my sexuality by not flashing my tits across the internet. I dont really want to know about other people's sex lives, thanks.

SirVixofVixHall · 07/10/2018 20:26

Porn culture. Ugggh.

ArcheryAnnie · 07/10/2018 20:31

Annadale, I've had a rough afternoon and am now laughing, thank you!

UpstartCrow · 07/10/2018 20:35

Dear Auntipombear

My tits dont point straight forwards. Should I be concerned?
Signed
Worried.

LemonJello · 07/10/2018 20:36

What Munro’s thinks is feminist: porn inspired posing with legs spread and tits out.

What Munroe thinks is not feminist: centring female reproductive issues at a woman’s march.

😂

SittingAround1 · 07/10/2018 20:38

I'd love to do my hair and make up, get some new boots on and spend Sunday afternoon swinging provocatively from a death trap for children chair hung up in the middle of my living room

But alas the cooking, cleaning, washing, vacuuming, bedtime story reading, bathtime supervising, playground taking, supermarket shopping, full time working, money earning, bill paying, admin sorting, period dealing, activity organising

prevents me...

Elephantinacravat · 07/10/2018 20:43

Munroe takes mansplaining to a whole new level.

silentcrow · 07/10/2018 20:44

That version of feminism is so last year...

Pretty much all I can see in that shot is someone who never got over their teenage crush on Pamela Anderson.

R0wantrees · 07/10/2018 20:48

I read a comment by a transwoman recently who said the thing they wanted was the admiring gaze of a straight man.

I've been thinking about that.

ChrysanthemumsAreMums · 07/10/2018 20:50

You have to have a fuck-ton of surgical intervention to get the admiring gaze of a heterosexual man, and then stay still and not talk.

Oh.... yeah...

PlatypusPie · 07/10/2018 20:52

Try and stand up from that position on that chair in those heels and let’s see how much agency you have then. Whoops!

NotANotMan · 07/10/2018 20:57

Munroe bergdorf doesn't really look like that. Here is munroe pre shit loads of surgery

To be fair to Munro it's the same twaddle Madonna has been peddling for years.

ImNotonLinkedInNo · 07/10/2018 21:06

Wow, it's such a sexualised view of being a woman. They take that from their male days. They cannot fathom that a woman is a person first and a sexual being second, to them a woman is sexual first. Always.

I'm expressing myself in my PJs.

Charliethefeminist · 07/10/2018 21:10

Not a man - literally just copied that link to post here. That is something MB will not enjoy going public all over again.

bluetitsaretits · 07/10/2018 21:11

I find it quite depressing how appearance matters above all else these days -especially for women and girls (or those wishing to imitate them).
Nothing wrong with enjoying getting 'spruced up' sometimes, but the huge amount of time and emotional energy devoted to it could be so much better spent.

I know teenagers who just can't seem to value themselves for their other qualities.

There will be cures undiscovered, songs never sung, inventions not invented and sonnets unwritten because of this crap.

LemonJello · 07/10/2018 21:13

If you are so desperate to be seen as a woman then the admiring gaze of a straight man would feel like validation jackpot, I would imagine.

I imagine Munroe thinks we are just jealous of all this lovely male admiration Munroe believes they are getting. Not realising that most women have been unable to escape the male gaze from childhood onwards and got male attention whether they liked it or not without needing to butcher themselves with a fuck ton of plastic surgery. It’s probably inconceivable to Munroe that there are women who are not interested in male admiration 😱

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 07/10/2018 21:14

Oh Lordy was I the only person that had the MB pic retweeted directly under the screenshot from this fine fellow...? 🙈

Badstyley · 07/10/2018 21:15

If my DP came in and found me like that she’d think I’d gone mad. So would I for that matter.

I’m currently asserting agency over my body by picking my nose. DS has gone to bed so this is my time.

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 07/10/2018 21:16

@LemonJello you could almost be describing an AGP there couldn't you?

NotTerfNorCis · 07/10/2018 21:18

Why do men think women's liberation should be all about women 'expressing themselves sexually' (for the benefit of men).

It is a conundrum. Hmm
