What peak transed you

I know this has probably been done to death, not sure if there is another thread somewhere, but briefly, what was it that peak transed you? I don't mean long philosophical essays, but was there something or a specific incident which suddenly made that lightbulb switch on?

Ada Wells and the whole cuntscum thing, personally. Thats what gave me pause for thought anyway. After that I looked up a lot to do with transactivism and came to the conclusion that its just MRAs in disguise.

I’ve been peaked a while. “Lisa Hauxwell” & “Jacinta Brooks” recently re-peaked me. All I can think of in these cases is...

Oh my god I've just googled Cotton Ceiling. What the actual fuck?

Feminist chat boards double peak trans'ing me.

Off I go to complete more of the GRA...

I can't look at that picture of 'jacinta' it makes me feel sick. It's the smile and the knowledge of what they did. I think they have a completely evil face. Turns my stomach.

My niece starting at a secondary school which only has "inclusive" toilets.

Like most girls who start their periods early, she was nervous of boys knowing and taking the piss. However, being forced to change herself in close proximity to boys who could hear exactly what was going on had her in tears.

Given the school wouldn't consider girls-only toilets, her mum kept her off school a few times because she was so scared to go in during her period. Once when she had to go in she didn't change her pad all day and came home with blood all over her pants, and the top of her thighs.

For me that was just one example of a girls' life and education taking a backseat to TR madness.

When trans women complained that talking about FGM was transphobic. That did it for me.

And now a close friend has decided at an advanced age that he has really been a woman all his life. I am struggling with this. Not least because he used to disagree with my feminist activity and start his arguments with ‘from a male perspective....’ or ‘as a man...’ But apparently he has been a woman all this time.

And now I’ve had a thread removed on Mumsnet for asking what I thought was a perfectly valid question and for starting that some people claim to be trans for the wrong reasons (but I’m not allowed to say that apparently...).

Nova that's so sad. Inspired me to fill in the consultation may as well rant somewhere it might have an effect

Nova

I believe each pupil has a statutory right to equal access to education. I'd contact the local paper.

EVERY country throughout the world should provide toilets for young women to feel safe in. And they SHOULD be single sex. SINGLE SEX.

When straight men hounded me off a forum because I questioned the position of transwomen in refuges. How dare I think it places vulnerable women in an untenable decision - they have no right whatsoever to refuse to share a space with transwomen and should be shamed for their disgusting attitude as nobody is more at risk than transwomen. I worked for Women's Aid in the late 80s...and back then, we had controversial and interminable discussions about teenage boys in the refuge - even if victims of abuse themselves. I wonder if this policy still prevails while male workers are pushing for position and transwomen blithely dismiss the concerns of traumatised women as bigots...while they themselves, with their male bodies, testosterone, sneaky misogyny and wholly male entitlement, are obviously the most oppressed people on the planet. Kinda hard to place their hurty feelings, pass-ag suicidal threats and twitter rage as worse than the broken teeth, blacked eyes, acid in the face, punch in the mouth, rape, violence and murder...which is happening every single minute to a woman somewhere.
