Ocado boycott after support of Primesight actionhttp://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3376466-ocado-boycott-after-support-of-primesight-action

Following on from my previous thread that became full Smile

I'll be making my first Waitrose order today, or maybe going back to Tesco. Will definitely give Waitrose a go though and have placed a Christmas order already.

OP posts:
NaturalBornWoman · 08/10/2018 20:00

I've had Waitrose twice now, since I cancelled Ocado. It's fine I guess, but the site is clunky and both times I've had subs. I'm not going back though.

Laniakea · 08/10/2018 20:18

I haven’t heard anything back from them. The TRA fuckers tried to get my review taken down, I got in reinstated & took a couple of theirs down. Arseholes. She has done a GDPR right to be forgotten.

So far i’ve not spent £260 with them - i’m due to do the big monthly shop this weekend & as it’s ds’ birthday next week it’ll be around £600 I expect. So that’s getting on for a thousand from me alone already.

I won’t ever go back - i’ve been described as both petty & stubborn as fuck.

I’ve also cancelled our TV licence, put a block on our server so no one in the house can access the guardian (also reviewed the kids’ safety settings so they can’t be exposed to trans propaganda), written to every san pro company that uses the term menstruator puke, subscribed to the times & the spectator, donated to Posie WPUK FairPlay, helped 5 ppl fill in the consultation, spread numerous petitions, done some stickering, written to MP & let local labour & Lib Dem candidates know why I won’t be voting for them. Complained to NAS.

Next is to ask the school that my 9yo may well be going to what their toilet & changing facilities are & who has advised them on PSHE/gender stuff.

My 17yo is gender critical so I have some hope. I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t do all I could :/

CaptainKirkssparetupee · 08/10/2018 20:24

All guns blazing Laniakea!

HumberElla · 08/10/2018 20:33

Wow Laniakea that’s impressive!

Mumfun · 08/10/2018 20:47

Got the standard email of apology. Told them if they didnt ask for reinstatement of poster by Primesight not interested in them. They must be losing a lot of custom but yes probably have their eye more on the US market

RepealtheGRA · 08/10/2018 20:58

I've just had this message from Trustpilot, anyone else?

"Thanks very much for your review of www.ocado.com.

We’re writing to you because we’ve noticed that your review only includes limited information about your experience with the company. We really want Trustpilot reviewers to provide an overall picture of their buying experience, and this includes the level of customer service. In this case, your review has been flagged as incomplete, so we’ve temporarily moved it offline. But we’ll be happy to reinstate it online if you can add a few more details.

To complete your review, please add more information, including comments about the customer service you received from the company. "

I was quite clear about what I thought of Ocado;s "customer service."
Operation Clean up?

lilllil · 09/10/2018 18:58

Yes. I've just replied telling them that I was a customer and it was a service issue for me.

I guess they've waited a while, and are relying on people using fake email addresses or no longer caring enough to back it up.

VickyEadie · 09/10/2018 19:04

I sent a scathing email telling them why they could feck off with their service and to take me off their database pronto and got a very short Millie email saying they'd done it, no other comments.

ColinsVeryJolly · 09/10/2018 19:13

@LurkingWaspi

Yep me too.

LurkingWaspi · 09/10/2018 19:43

I haven't replied yet but will do. Thanks for the responses.
I've been on Trustpilot for years - so it's not exactly my first review!
I'll give them further info as per lilllil

I'm sure the Ocado "man with the thin ham" reviewer hasn't had one.Grin

Apollo440 · 09/10/2018 21:06

Trustpilot seems to have done a mass takedown of all GC reviews. Must be embarrassing Ocado. I don't use them (and never will unless they apologise) but 2 members of my family moved after I pointed out what they stood for.

Apollo440 · 09/10/2018 21:09

I'm sure Ocado aren't concerned because word of mouth won't damage them. Will it?

Angryresister · 09/10/2018 21:52

What are you taking Laniakea ? I want some. Great actions from everyone. A little action means a lot, especially to those of us cheering you on. Thank you

Melamin · 09/10/2018 22:05

Well, I used them once and was rather underwhelmed. The money off coupons only applied to certain items, so it all got complicated. So all in all, it is not a hardship not to bother again; I would much rather go to Waitrose myself tbh.

PersonWithAVulva · 09/10/2018 22:08

Do trustpilot usually take down negative reviews? I (possibly stupidly) trust that site a fair bit, and it seems like I shouldn't if they just remove stuff after pressure from activists/businesses. Surely that goes against the whole point of their site?!

coldallthetime · 09/10/2018 22:19

Hmm, my review is still there and no email, so they either haven't got round to all of the ones they don't like or are being selective.
The transactivist ones are still all there and I bet few of them are Ocado shoppers. If they are, they're unlikely to be doing a regular big family shop as we do.

LurkingWaspi · 09/10/2018 22:31

Apparently, I was complained about, some hours ago, to Trustpilot. It's a fair few weeks now since I posted there!
I have a list of suspects to hand, no need for Taggart.

I've been referred to Trustpilot's "Guidelines" also, ( a feeling of deja vu there! )Grin

I've resubmitted. It's got to be moderated, apparently, FFS!
All this revisionism.

Yes, I did think Trustpilot was reliable PersonWithAVulva.

Maybe, I should do a Trustpilot review of Trustpilot?

Laniakea you've made my day..... go! go! go!

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 09/10/2018 23:08

I did complain today about all the TRA reviews that didn’t mention anything to do with product or service on TrustPilot so hopefully if they take one set down they will take the others too.

Mumfun · 09/10/2018 23:21

I dont trust TrustPilot at all

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 10/10/2018 07:25

I have never used Ocado, so I can't help add to the numbers. I find it so pathetic that they are trying to do individual apologies (well, sorry you were offended) so they don't upset a bunch of TRAs who will never spend money in Ocado anyway.

Cuntysnark · 10/10/2018 07:29

Is it possible to review trustpilot on trustpilot?

LurkingWaspi · 10/10/2018 07:52

Cuntysnark
It is possible to review Trustpilot on Trustpilot.
Here is an interesting review bottom left of the link.
See: Andreas Feichtner.......an interesting name.
He reminds me of a certain Dr Doxtor .

Although AF also seems to be a number of other "important" people.

Trinity333 · 10/10/2018 07:56

uk.trustpilot.com/review/trustpilot.com Yes looks like it’s possible to review and comment on them.
