Posie Parker will be on This Morning tomorrow.

Not sure which TRA/AWA will be provided for her to chew up and spit out though.

I hope that Posie is able to talk to the ordinary person on the sofa and explain to them the reasons why we need to define women. Otherwise anyone falling under the Stonewall definition of transgender: transgender, transsexual, gender-queer (GQ), gender-fluid, non-binary, gender-variant, crossdresser, genderless, agender, nongender, third gender, two-spirit, bi-gender, trans man, trans woman, trans masculine, trans feminine and neutrois. will be able to self ID as female. And that the safeguarding we are expect will be compromised.

And that some women, including those from conservative religious groups, and typically body-insecure teenage girls, will then feel unable to access things: girl guides, crisis centres, sports teams. I would bet on a prediction that the GG will have more applications from transwomen, perhaps from the outer reaches of the Stonewall definition, wanting to be Guide leaders, than they will have from poster transgirls. And that overall they will lose members and volunteers.

I have talked about this to a few female, educated and normally aware, friends and they had no idea of the implications. And were shocked. Education is the key. We then dont need debate as we can rely on ordinary people's common sense.

Do any of these presenters have daughters?

Eamon has 3 son's and a daughter.

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 27/09/2018 13:10

It’s not just that but survivors of childhood sexual abuse too

user187656748 · 27/09/2018 13:11

Its This Morning. The big time. Surely they'll get Paris.

Melamin · 27/09/2018 13:13

It has been a good morning so far - I have watched Nic on Victoria Derbyshire, and listened to her on TalkRadio (which was brill).

hackmum · 27/09/2018 13:14

Do you think Posie's attractiveness helps people listen or helps TV producers want to book her?

It absolutely does help TV producers book her. TV producers love attractive people. But it does also help that she is so articulate and plain-spoken. She's tv gold dust. (Have just been looking at the comments under the YouTube clip of her and Harrop, and it's not just us who thought she wiped the floor with him.)

BettyDuMonde · 27/09/2018 13:14

Woker - it’s more standing in the kitchen gesticulating wildly and spilling wine as I go...

...while he cooks my dinner 🤪

CoolCarrie · 27/09/2018 13:15

They tend to have the serious interviews in the first half hour of the programme as they usually ask for comments from the public.

NoSquirrels · 27/09/2018 13:15

Most of the 'usual suspects' are refusing to comment on these issues now.

That's the new version of #nodebate. It's not that they want to no platform GC speakers, it's that they themselves will not appear. They are no platforming themselves to shut it down. Because "they will not defend their right to exist".

Even if that's not what the debate is ever about. Confused

PerfPower · 27/09/2018 13:18

Posie has a very good voice too, crisp, clear and easy to listen to.

WokerThanWoke · 27/09/2018 13:19

Sounds like a good setup Betty!

Paris isn't very articulate though I don't think.

Charliethefeminist · 27/09/2018 13:20

PL is biiiiig on #nodebate and if PL does appear they prefer being interviewed alone, like some kind of star. If PL agrees to share a sofa with Posie Parker I will faint on the spot. PL knows that if Posie is asked directly if PL is a woman, Posie will say no. As PL has no GRC this is not a breach of any law or media rule. It would be a public humiliation too profound to bear for PL. In addition, Posie is more than a match for PL in the looks department. That will go down like a rat sandwich.

seahorsesaewhorses · 27/09/2018 13:20

Eamon had MB on his talk radio show. It was very friendly and he kept defending MB from too many questions from his women presenter. He was going to ask her back to do quest spots with him.

Trinity1976 · 27/09/2018 13:21

What is the deal with Harrop? He's a gay man, right?

Why is he so supportive of Trans ideology when that ideology is essentially homophobic, ie, wants to replace same-sex attraction with 'same-gender attraction'? Or have I not got my facts right?

Charliethefeminist · 27/09/2018 13:22

Who is MB?

NoSquirrels · 27/09/2018 13:22

In fact PL has just confirmed on Twitter that she "won't discuss" the billboard. "I refuse to let these people frame the debate".

So there you go. No debate.

Charliethefeminist · 27/09/2018 13:23

Trinity, is just a hatred of women, I think.

seahorsesaewhorses · 27/09/2018 13:23

MB is the delightful Munroe

Charliethefeminist · 27/09/2018 13:25

Ding dong. PL has never recovered from the awkward silence when Nick Robinson took 10 seconds to respond to the 'am I a woman' question.

Will be increasingly isolated. The phone will just stop ringing.

dorisdog · 27/09/2018 13:25

What on earth is this thread about? Is this an anti transgender thread?

Elephantinacravat · 27/09/2018 13:28

What on earth is this thread about? Is this an anti transgender thread?

Nope, it's a pro woman thread.

LittlePearl · 27/09/2018 13:28

Melamin when was Nic on TalkRadio? I'd like to hear that.

dolorsit · 27/09/2018 13:28

It's a post discussing a woman who will be appearing on a tv interview tomorrow.

It's discussing who may be interviewing her and who (if anyone) will be representing an alternative point of view.

HTH

Even here Paris gets a solo slot. Munroe is almost unrecognisable, and watch Fox: still has female socialisation in behaviour and responses.

BrisaOtonal · 27/09/2018 13:29

It is only a matter of time before the trans community turn on Harrop and tell him to go play somewhere else. He is a grade A cod piece who doesn't represent them. Harrop doesn't realise that he is actually helping our cause, not damaging it. He is inadvertently our greatest asset.
