Ocado boycott after support of Primesight action

On discovering today that Ocado are continuing to use Primesight after they removed Standing For Women's billboard, thereby showing they have no respect for women or our rights, I have emailed them to tell them that I will no longer shop with them as they support misogyny. I'm just wondering how many others have done the same and hoping this thread gets picked up by twitter and/or the press.

Exactly so.Women appear to be against their "values".
Thats a shame when your target demographic are adult human females.Perhaps best not to bite the hand that feeds you.
I've cancelled this weeks order and won't be ordering againfor our home or business.

Oh bugger! Morrisons have finally started delivery in our area and I was about to start using them as I'm struggling to get the shopping done myself (health issues).

Won't be using them now if Ocado are affiliated with them, and would make money from me doing so.

Rose, Ocado are being ‘singled out’ because they tweeted saying the poster was against their values. Other primesight clients did not (AFAIK).

Science if you can't shop due to being unwell you must do what's best for you and yours! I'll persuade someone else to boycott instead of you

Rose It would certainly be interesting to see what side the other Primesight clients came down on. Ocado's action is particularly disappointing (and baffling) as their customer base is so overwhelmingly made up of women.

Just done a bit of research and Morrisons appear to simply use the technology developed by Ocado to facilitate their online business. I'm thinking that means they're not actually affiliated with Ocado??

You seem to have the polarity of this thread reversed, which is why you are confused.

The advert was affirming the meaning of "Woman", and was paid for by StandingForWomen.

This - dictionary definition - of "Woman" was declared transphobic and Primesite - who rented the space to StandingForWomen, removed and destroyed the poster.

Ocado supported the stance that the recognised definition of Woman - as written in English dictionaries - is transphobic.

That is why they are being boycotted.

I'm waiting to hear their response to my email, asking for clarification of their position.

Whoever responded to the tweets appears to have relied on Primesight's assurance that the poster was placed by a hate group. Now that the company itself has been made aware of the facts, I want to see if they agree with the response and to give them a chance to rectify the situation if they do not.

Ocado says, yay primesight for taking down that billboard. Taking down that offensive billboard is in line with our values.

Cancelled my smart pass as well as 2 orders I'd already placed. In going to Waitrose to order there I noticed their Christmas slots were open, so I thought I'd let you know. Losing my priority Smartpass Christmas slot was of concern. Waitrose can have my huge Christmas orders with pleasure.

Won't be using them again. Someone from Ocado chat said their "message was misconstrued" and there will be an official response.

Unless the ‘official response’ is that they agree that Woman = Adult Human Female and that they will no longer associate themselves with prime sight they can stay on my ‘fuck off’ list.
