I've been musing over what the BBC / social media coverage might have been if Dr Nicola Williams (or another guest) was seen giving the middle finger and mouthing expletives following something that Tara Hudson had said....

Good point. That part of the clip with the swearing is much more of a story and just downright better telly. Very odd it wasn't used in newsclips.

MonotonousSeagull · 10/09/2018 13:57

They seem to have taken it off iPlayer. For sanitising?

fidgetspinner555 · 10/09/2018 13:59

Dr Nic gave us all a lesson there.....be calm, polite and state your points.
It speaks volumes.

Halfeatentoast · 10/09/2018 14:00

RomyandJulio I’d also like to know what the difference is between “really” identifying and “just pretending”.

Yes, however I found it a good "in" when talking to my MP and others. You see the penny very slowly drop that as they or you say it they realise this completely unrealistic.

Mrbatmun · 10/09/2018 14:00

Dr Nic was so measured, calm and classy in that interview.

HotRocker · 10/09/2018 14:04

I can’t watch it on iPlayer, apparently the content isn’t available. I hope someone has managed to get a copy of it, because I strongly suspect that when/if it becomes available again, the finger flipping/swearing will have been edited.

BettyDuMonde · 10/09/2018 14:05

I made this gif from what went out on the live broadcast:

I shall also be complaining. It falls well below the standards we should expect from the BBC.

Why no apology I wonder...

I think this was the original thread about Tara on here.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2497536-to-think-if-you-have-a-penis-you-do-not-belong-in-a-womans-prison?messages=100&pg=1

This was the point that I realised the media (esp. the BBC and Guardian) was going to lie and misrepresent violent thugs and perverts as angels to suit an agenda.

Tara Hudson and her 7" penis was the best poster girl they could come up with.

R0wantrees · 10/09/2018 14:51

If this is edited out and the other segments when Tara Hudson is speaking remain without additional comment, the BBC bias will be made explicit.

Is this Tara Hudson? Why do they look so different?

BettyDuMonde · 10/09/2018 14:56

Datsun, I think that was one of Hudson’s friends who attended court. The image has been mislabelled by the internet.

miri1985 · 10/09/2018 15:09

Tara's just thrown away a good bit of tv work and money by not being able to behave civilly.

Wanderabout · 10/09/2018 15:12

Why has it disappeared? This happened last time Nic Williams and Sarah Ditum were on the programme too.

R0wantrees · 10/09/2018 15:19

Really?

there's a couple of other BBC programs which have similarly being taken down whilst other episodes remain.

I'll have to think about which ones though, but I noticed this a little while ago when I was wanting to re-watch some interviews with TRAs.

KimCheesePickle · 10/09/2018 15:20

Segment from the show uploaded here:

rightreckoner · 10/09/2018 15:26

I quite like Victoria's delivery of the background to the story there. As poker faced as possible yet perhaps the subtlest of emphasis on the phrases "as a man" and "now identifies as transgender.."

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 10/09/2018 15:31

She's got balls, that Dr Nic.

Mamaryllis · 10/09/2018 15:33

I adore Dr Nic.

I can’t find the recording though.
In reality, TH is a violent man who is proud of his penis who wanted to be housed in the female estate. Karen White and Tara Hudson are two peas in a pod. Both are a threat to women and should not be housed in the female estate.
Tara’s top surgery has not changed his sex. And claiming ‘surgery’ to gaslight the public into believing they no longer have a penis that they use on the regular is disingenuous at best.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 10/09/2018 15:36

Can we put Dr Nic in charge of everything?

I'd vote for her.

GreenWi82481196 · 10/09/2018 15:49

This post has no date - what day is it referring to?
Have I missed it already?
I have started this account because my Twitter account under the name of Green Witch was closed (no reason give but undoubtedly trans-activists putting me on Terf-blocker).
I heard that Posie Parker has an account on Mumsnet.
Mumnet told me that the name "Green Witch" was already taken, also
Green W1tch
Green Wltch
Green_Witch
Greene Witch
and Twitter Green Witch
This seems somewhat surprising

MsBeee · 10/09/2018 15:55

I think what so many people don't realise is that over 80% trans still have intact gentialia.

I had no clue, it is a really important point and often gets left out of media reports.

GreenWi82481196 · 10/09/2018 15:56

I am glad to have found this thread on Mumsnet for GC women but disappointed if I have missed the programme and it's also been taken down from i-player.
There is no doubt the BBC is overwhelmingly biased in favour of transgender ideology.

MsBeee · 10/09/2018 15:57

Still not available on iplayer, come on BBC, what are you doing.

MsBeee · 10/09/2018 15:59

Dr Nic, you are amazing !!!!
