Sounds a bit like the special LGBT receptions they hold in number 10. Or the celeb-filled Stonewall gatherings. All top-notch and lavishly financed. Where is there any sort of comparable representation or consultation for women?

Since redefining women, they don't need to. Pink News/Stonewall sparkly gatherings now count as ticking the "pretend to give a shit about women and children" box.

2 Birds. 1 Stone. Aimed at us.

Do you think it’s at all possible that Bercow himself shelters under the edge of the trans umbrella?

You've hit on something Betty that I have long suspected explains why so many men back the TRA agenda - that and straightforward misogyny.
Although thinking on it that's pretty much the same thing...

BettyDuMonde · 13/09/2018 09:52

And also, as someone said upthread ^ (paraphrasing) men who use trans porn are emotionally invested in the ‘TWAW’ concept because it means they don’t have to have to confront their own homophobia/internalised homophobia...

Puts all those angry young woke bros on twitter into perspective, huh?

Yes that's also an excellent point!

It does.

The harder they push TWAW the further away prospective female romantic interests should flee.

In my opinion, based on many years of extensive experience of men (furiously clinging to TWAW like a life raft in a stormy sea). In Bangkok.

Life would be better if fewer men were so hung up about being attracted to certain genitals. It's OK to like penis. Even if you have one too.

Change your Todger 'tude WokeBros, cos the sex of the person it is attached to is fixed forever. And no amount of weasel words playing linguistic twister with meaning will give you peace.

Peace won't come until you accept who you are, what you like sexually, and know that is OK.*

*within reason. I draw the line at Furby in Nappies sex as OK. That's just weird.

Now it all clicks in to place....

Now it all clicks in to place....

Hopefully it will start clicking in some younger female circles.

Because I saw more than one young woman put at an elevated risk of STDs and an emotional life storm. Due to them not realising that a young man's insistence that TWAW can indicate both a remote consumption of trans porn, and ongoing "treating of oneself" with regular visits to trans prostituites. A good number of whom had significant drug issues and were known for lowering their risk barriers in order to better meet their economic needs.

The young men I knew who "treated themselves" required/desired a young female partner for mostly social inclusion reasons as far as I understood it (TWAW but you wouldn't take one to meet mother, or down the pub to meet your mates IYSWIM) They also anticipated bowing to social expectations to one day settle down and have a family. So....find a full time female partner for breeding and social acceptance, and TWAW on the side for romance and sexual needs met, seemed to be how they were combining conflicting wants.

Like I said, my best advice to young females in the market for a lifemate is to avoid the ones who cling tight to TWAW. Especially if they get angry when you challenge it. Obviously not all will have proclivities in that direction. But from what I saw, a girl didn't find out there actually were proclivities as part of the package she was tying her life, health and heart to, until it was too late to avoid physical harm or emotional pain.

So better safe than sorry IMO.

I miss the Tories' Sleaze Fest of the 80s. At least I understood the motivations of fairly vanilla rumpy pumpy with people you weren't married to.

YY. Bring back David Mellor and his toe sucking and Chelsea strip Grin

Mamaryllis · 13/09/2018 15:44

I could have done without that memory resurfacing if I’m honest...
