Bugger. Thanks Destiny.

Tartle · 28/08/2018 22:39

Anyone fancy my reposting barrakers deleted posts. I had a look back but it's a long thread!

LassWiADelicateAir · 28/08/2018 22:48

Hey, Green Party, see that statement from Coventry Pride? That is what your statement should have looked like

Yes, credit where credit due to Coventry Pride in 2016 and now.

Anlaf · 28/08/2018 22:55

On the Pride thing. Coventry Pride may have known in 2016 but here's David Challenor in 2017 with the Greens at London Pride.

From his previously public "Baloo" FB.

At some point I'd love to dig into the psychology of why people support individuals who display more red flags than a bunting convention

Read the book 'Predators' by Anna Salter who interviews criminals and sex offenders who have confessed their techniques.

Anyone and everyone involved in safeguarding should read this book.

It should be required reading for anyone setting or changing policy around safeguarding.

MPs who are going to vote on the GRA should read it.

Xenia · 28/08/2018 22:58

Then Green Party and all parties need to ask the right questions of people and prompt particular issues or questios rather than just ask a general question about whether there is anything else the party needs to know. Same thing happened with that lady who was getting a role at the Bank of England - no one asked her about a family member's connection to a bank (and that was not even a confidential fact) and only when it came out did the nomination have to be abandoned. www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/bank-of-england-deputy-governor-quits-after-failing-to-disclose-brothers-work-for-barclays-a3489051.html

The form people need to complete should be very thorough. Whilst some criminal offences of a family member might not bring an organisation into disrepute and it would be unfair to penalise the relative in cases like this and the fact the father had a role in the campaign that should never have been allowed. If Coventry knew in 2016 I wonder why others didn't?

Anlaf · 28/08/2018 23:06

And here is pic marked "Baloo Challenor | Challenor Photography" of Aimee and others in the London Pride official section for the LGBTIQA + Greens.

Tweeted in 2018 so assume it's that 2017 Pride

I cannot believe AC is STILL Green LGBTQ+ spokesperson.

STILL the person (or one of the group) handling their response to the GRA.

FFS Green Party.

This is shocking.

This person has shown no judgment with regard to Safeguarding issues.

They thought it was OK to employ someone on charges of rape and torture.

It's becoming clear the'didn't know' defence isn't going to wash.

FFS - This is utterly disgraceful. Green Party, you DO know. DO something.

This is NOT OK.

Get your shit together.

theOtherPamAyres · 28/08/2018 23:20

Since D Challoner was much more than an election agent - he seems to have been A Challoner's driver, photographer, techie, personal assistant etc -

Will the Green Pary's independent investigator, in their open and transparent enquiry, obtain a list of events and speaking engagements where D accompanied A?

I am particularly thinking of events involving young people. Were hosts informed (like Coventry pride was) and able to make a risk assessment?

AngryAttackKittens · 28/08/2018 23:25

So the Greens are hoping that the whole thing will blow over with the help of the Guardian and BBC.

thecatfromjapan · 28/08/2018 23:31

Yes, I think they are, AngryKittens

And Aimee Challenor - despite the enormous issues she has displayed - still being responsible for the Green Party GRA response, shows this.

Despite the statement, they are NOT taking this seriously.

I would add that I, personally, believe this makes the Green Party response to the GRA worthless and void.

The GRA Committee need to be made aware of this.

And the Green Party need to be told that WE KNOW. WE SEE YOU.

Challenor Jr is an adult, and in a position of political power.

There is noone in politics who could get away with actively returning to live in a house with an accused child molester awaiting trial and appointing that molester as election agent.

For pity's sake, seperate out sympathies for the child that Challenor Jr once was and judge this person as the adult politician this person is today and the actions chosen as an adult in a position of power.

There is a real, female, child victim, and she has had to watch her abuser and abuser's adult offspring living and working together in the house in which she was tortured, and building a political campaign from that house that involved silencing women and lobbying to remove child safeguarding. Whilst Challenor senior called her, the victim, a fantasist and the potential future deputy leader of the Green Party supported him.

A damaged childhood is not a free pass to destroying lives from political platforms.

Some things are unforgivable. A future deputy leader of a political party supporting a repugnant child torturer in his house of crime over believing the child victim is abominable.

And the Green Party are "supporting Aimee"? After all this?

They are devoid of integrity, devoid of morals, devoid of compassion.

And although I am glad of Mumsnet, and feel huge gratitude towards the mods and the work they do, I just want to say how frustrated I am at having to rewrite my posts removing truthful phrases like 'adult son' and 'he' because of talk rules.

An actual girl, a child, was horrifically abused and I'm censored from saying "this is what the abuser's adult son has done in the wake of the accusations, and what the victim has has had to watch unfold.

It's bad enough tripping over stupid pronouns on a thread about toilets. But my god, it is damned near abusive to threaten women with censorship for calling a goddamned adult mysogynist paedophile-supporting man a man, just because he wants us to pretend he is a woman, and you've decided to enable that misogynist powerplay at the expense of women, integrity and the fucking truth.

Grow a pair of ovaries Mumsnet hq. I'm sick of hearing about the fine line you're treading. Stuff is serious now and time is running out. The line should be the truth, and you should be standing firm on the right side of it with women, not tiptoeing along it for as long as men allow you to.

There is no balance to be sought between truth and a huge hairybollocked lie. Stop trying to balance them.
Let us start speaking the truth without deleting our words.

Please.

Someone just mentioned Ash Sakar on another thread, and I strayed upon this on my twitter feed in one of those moments of strange coincedence:

I give to you, this wonder of a thread:
twitter.com/AyoCaesar/status/1034363975624994816
Do read it all.

From today.

If you look on her twitter feed you will spot a noticable absence.

This woman has no fucking idea. Totally oblivious to her own blindness.

Every time she speaks, I am wowed a little more at how she thinks she is intelligent, but boy is she not.

OrchidInTheSun · 28/08/2018 23:43

Thank you Barracker and BOF. And thank you @MNHQ for reinstating, especially when you know we're going to get a whole world of shit for 'misgendering'.

It's time for truth

In a lot of cases, virtue signalling on a particularly grand scale.

There was a thread on reddit (I mine the cesspits so you don't have to) a few months ago in which one parent was left debating divorce and custody agreements for two small children because their spouse wanted to offer a home to an unmedicated, violent schizophrenic with a history of sexual assaults on children whom they'd met at church (or reconnected with having previously met at church, the details elude me). It was shameless virtue signalling: "see how non-judgemental I am at offering shelter, even at risk to my own children".

Abusers are often charismatic and manipulative. But people like the Green Party are very, very keen to appear both edgy and virtuous. That's why churches, children's organisations and the like are prone to entryist scum.

Destinysdaughter · 29/08/2018 00:01

RedToothBrush Ash was so utterly dreadful on that program with Germaine Greer, Munroe Bergdorf recently that I don't think I can read that thread. My blood pressure won't be able to take it!

Exactly what I was thinking reading it Red.

Destinysdaughter · 29/08/2018 00:23

Julie Bindel really gunning for Caroline Lucas now. She’s certainly changed her tune from a few days ago!

Nova tamed is is where the folly of the £3 Membership Deal for Labour Membership and a dogwhistle for the deranged meet and become one.

I don't go anywhere near it because my head actually starts buzzing. ☹️

thecatfromjapan · 29/08/2018 00:31

Novaramedia.

thecatfromjapan · 29/08/2018 00:32

I know I keep banging on about it but ... why is Aimee Challenor STILL doing work for the Green Party?

And I'm still absolutely bloody furious with The Guardian.

AngryAttackKittens · 29/08/2018 00:36

Novaramedia seems to the the answer to the question of how to get media jobs for people who no reputable media organization would have hired.

AngryAttackKittens · 29/08/2018 00:37

The Greens clearly think that this story will go away and they can pretend that nothing inappropriate happened and both their hands and Aimee's are clean.

I hope that they're wrong.
