Thanks for those dates, chocladoodle. Looks like the verdict came in on the Friday. So the Green Party and Aimee had even more time to draw up a more appropriate statement than the ones issued a week later. But maybe they were pinning their hopes on an injunction, or one of those super-injunctions.

Blocktogether is a tool for creating blocklists. There are many blocklists out there for blocking "terfs" . If I recall correctly didn't one go belly up after blocking Lily Madigan?

Madigan had a falling out with the original Terfblocker because either Madigan or Terfblocker were deemed to have said something 'terfy' - anyway it proved fatal for that Terfblocker.

A new Green Party statement has been released:

"Aimee Challenor has today stepped aside in the Green Party leadership elections, following the conviction of her father, David Challenor, for abhorrent sexual crimes involving a minor which include him committing some of the gravest human rights violations that face women and girls across the world

No disclosure was made of Mr Challenor’s arrest or any of the charges against him as part of formal nomination or selection processes. The party is urgently reviewing its disclosure and safeguarding policies and procedures and will learn from any lessons that process reveals.

We apologise unreservedly that Mr Challenor was able to act as an election agent for Aimee Challenor in the 2017 General Election and the local elections in May this year despite the nature of the charges brought against him. A full investigation into how this was able to happen is taking place. His membership was terminated with immediate effect as soon as the information was brought to the attention of decision makers.

Aimee will not be undertaking any official Green Party roles while the party urgently looks into the circumstances which allowed this situation to arise."

The circumstances are AC knew what was happening, knew the extent to which it would damage your party, and chose to spin the wheel on a not guilty verdict while leaving you in the dark that you were the chips on the red square.

There’s been a barrage of tweets today demanding action from The Green Party, many saying AC should go. Can’t believe the GP are still holding onto them! Surely the ‘brand’ is toxic now?

An improvement in the statement.

I petsonally think there should be a general prohibition of two or more members of the sane household or nuclear family holding posts in the same local party, of any sort. But i wouldnt be surprised if that would eliminate a substantial amount of the remaining local political activity in the uk.
