Misgendering? I'd say people are correct sexing.

There are posters who are putting an awful lot of time and effort into this thread. Please don't spoil it.

placemats · 26/08/2018 19:49

In a two up and two down, an attic is not a space you walk into unless extensive work has been done. It's almost certainly accessible via the landing or a bedroom if the attic entrance has been moved.

JoanSummers · 26/08/2018 19:49

Why would the police fail to interview Aimee when his dad had told them that the photos on the camera and memory card were not his? They would have had to follow that up by investigating the other people who lived in or visited the house, no?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 26/08/2018 19:51

I'm 100% certain Aimee would have been interviewed. I can believe the interviews may not have made fully clear what they were about though.

thebewilderness · 26/08/2018 19:56

Aimee tweeted in 2015 that police had interviewed them, but no way to know if it was over the torture chamber in the attic or the online threats they were making at the time.

placemats · 26/08/2018 19:57

Considering Aimee's background, I agree Itsallgoingtobe

I agree. I've been online almost constantly since the story broke on Thursday and don't want to see this thread taken down. On my Twitter it's a different story but that's My Twitter. Here I have respect for the others who are posting and lurking and will use they pronouns. Not out of respect for the challenor family but my fellow posters who are helping piece this all together

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 19:58

Why did Aimee post that statement?

Because Aimee had to post something, been told to probably.

And Aimee wanted to wipe off mud.

But knew outright lies would be found out. So chose carefully what to say.

And knew the inclined to take a face value, would take at face value, seeing the bits that comforted, but not the parts that left wriggle room. Which they have done.

The somewhat more skeptical saw the glaring ".wriggle room". Went WTF. And noticed the wiping off the still fresh mud had left a big smeary mess, worse than the original mud splitter.

Aimee probably anticipated that. But has a secret weapon. The T**F gun. Because in Aimee's magic world, one well aimed shot from that, and a speaker's word has no value. Cannot damage. Is gone.

Cos that's the way it has always worked.

Until now.

Opps Aimee. Not so blessed be is the human that does not notice the tide flows both in. And out.

To every fad there is a season.

Speaking of which ... Winter is Coming. And all the fig leaves of respectability have fallen off in the new chill.

Hope you've all got your snow boots on, we have some forward march to do, preferably before they work out how to use thermals.

#Stickerwoman. Get your print on. Strike while the iron's hot and all that jazz.

Thank you for clearing up my confusion.

OrchidInTheSun · 26/08/2018 20:08

Cesira- my stickers are ready to go. The U.K. is going to hear us loud and clear. But we need mainstream media to report this stuff too. So they can join the dots

Amalfimamma · 26/08/2018 20:11

thebewilderness,

There are so many dots to be joined that I've started to write things down.

I'm thinking of doing a board like they show in the FBI films when they are following the American mafia.

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 20:13

Awesome metaphors dude

Apologies. A drunk decided to cycle down our track and fell in the (very full) irrigation ditch. Still coming down from the communal flap.

I've barely left the house (aka iPad) for days and when I do it all went Nee-Naw Nee-Nawww.

Amalfimamma

Mutual, cara. Let the army of the sicuri (still feel the i should be an e) quick march.

LadybirdsAreBirds · 26/08/2018 20:15

Did not mean to mock. Should have added that your posts are fab Flowers. As are your penises

hackmum · 26/08/2018 20:17

Cesira, in your fabulous analogy, I'm seeing us as the Russians, the TRAs as the German sixth army, and the battleground over self-ID as Stalingrad 1942.

thecatfromjapan · 26/08/2018 20:24

Good statement by Olivia Palmer. They lost a good woman there. And chose to shelter a really questionable man (obviously, I mean David Challenor).

The statements and their timings are fascinating. The second GP statement will have had someone serious look it over, AC's too - yet they are still poor. Which is interesting. AC's is definitely looking forward to rehabilitation, via the 'brave Aimee talks about growing up as victim of family abuser' narrative.

If/when that happens, I think I might throw up.

All of this proves Lisa Muggeridhe's assertion: these groups apply a far lower than normal/acceptable oversight to the Trans people they have S their mouthpieces.

The thing I Am finding MOST frustrating is that there is CLEARLY a story here about An I dividual's trans identity and a difficult psychological background. It is unsayable at present. Talk about it and I will be labelled a TERF and the thread will be deleted. The censorship is already in place.

Even more worryingly, this is also going to be a censorship which will be applied to institutions (schools, social workers) and will - ulitimaty - mean that lots of red flags, pointing to a dysfunctional home background, will not be nameable as red flags.

We'll see.

I think that is why there is a big lump in the statement trying to a. Deflect criticism of AC's lack of judgment by naming it 'transphobic' b. Salvage the policies associated with AC and DC by naming any attempt to link the two as 'transphobic' c. Pre-emptively prevent any discussion of AC's own life and family narrative (and, of course, that would lead back to the question of GP oversight, eventually).

There's a reason these people fear feminist women. As Olivia's statement makes very clear. By lAbelling us all 'transphobes', analysis of why feminists resist is avoided.

That's why stickerwoman is key. Online we are not in the greatest position. Too few left after all the banning/muting. It has to go off-line, thousands of small, individual acts of defiant resistance to unadulterable bollocks. LITERAL BOLLOCKS.

And the online crew that survived the cull can spread the photo evidence accross the atlantic with some well chosen @ing.

Even before the Challenor case, there was a steady trickle of mostly gay men coming out in our favour. Despite the brickbats. If we keep it up, there'll be more of them. Who will create even more people feeling ready to say the same thing.

And if we can get it over the big pond, just like Colonge, the international attention will cause the national audience to wonder... how come I am hearing of this from abroad, when it happened here ?.
