When you see threads plopped into FWR, especially the curious repeat of well worn subjects, I recommend you check for poster history before engaging.

There are a number of posts/posters/threads being referenced on twitter with screen shots & flagging in either MNHQ or outlets to try & get articles commissioned.

To be fair, I think most of our conversations are heavily watched - but that thread in particular is being brigaded and garnished for screenshots. At least I got to plant my own comment and am now Twitter famous for a screenshot I completely stand by, which is saying that trans theory makes no conceptual distinction between Ian Huntley and Laverne Cox if both say they are women. Even though I think they are very different, and we have to talk about where the line is! So that's something!

Silencing women. Whodathunkit?

Trans theory makes no conceptual distinction between Ian Huntley and Laverne Cox if both say they are women.

Add on to that Zinnia Jones saying that even if all transwomen were rapists we'd still have no right to exclude them from our toilets. Plus if government / NHS advisers Action for Trans Health had their way, all male prisoners could be instantly freed just by claiming to be female, and Laverne Cox was more concerned about supporting Synthia China Blast than finding out why Blast was in prison in the first place. And of course Sky News giving Jess Bradley a platform.

I don't like the priorities here. Several high-profile trans speakers and no sign of any comprehension of why women might be concerned.

Bumping back to the first page as a general reminder

Time for another bump, I think.

Not more wide-eyed disingenuity in FWR? Surely not!

FloralBunting · 10/08/2018 15:42

God, the tedium just goes on and on and on...

And a Sunday morning bump.

Remember that great phrase "cool story, bro..." Never has it seemed a more appropriate come-back.

Ereshkigal · 12/08/2018 13:09

Bump

silentcrow · 12/08/2018 23:29

Oh look, it's bump o'clock.

Bumpity bump.

Remember that there are threads being started with the express intention of getting screen shots.

Bouncing like a ping pong ball

ReluctantCamper · 14/08/2018 22:57

Crikey there are a few threads started by 'welcome to mumsnet ' type posters today

I must admit to getting sucked in but then I'm on holiday with my children so spoiling for a fight after all this bloody quality time

Boing.

FermatsTheorem · 15/08/2018 08:42

Now there's a surprise.

Like that thread wasn't blatantly trolling for screenshots.

I see the "travelling has made me racist" thread has been zapped.
