When you see threads plopped into FWR, especially the curious repeat of well worn subjects, I recommend you check for poster history before engaging.

There are a number of posts/posters/threads being referenced on twitter with screen shots & flagging in either MNHQ or outlets to try & get articles commissioned.

OP posts:

Bunbury's first law: when something nasty happens, someone with an agenda will come along with a 'story'...

Potplant2 · 01/10/2018 21:10

Oh dear, it’s been deleted already. Never mind

VickyEadie · 01/10/2018 21:12

That was fast!

VickyEadie · 01/10/2018 21:14

I think some mod has got her big girl pants on tonight!

heresyandwitchcraft · 02/10/2018 18:30

Evening non-specific bump

GulagsMyArse · 03/10/2018 08:33

Bump, don't feed the trolls

Iused2BanOptimist · 03/10/2018 08:43

Yes. A weird new one indeed.

arranfan · 03/10/2018 10:12

I read an, "Act Now!" one liner that triggered a spider-sense. And then another 2 by the same brand-new name before thinking, "Much as I respect the research I've linked above and that I find helpful, I'm not waiting for 5 posts to make my judgment". In the time it took, I see there are now >10 posts on very different threads that might support that view. (Sorry this is so opaque, regular users know why.)

arranfan · 03/10/2018 10:26

And those posts are gone - swift work MNHQ, whom I assumed received a mass of reports.

terryleather · 03/10/2018 13:34

What is it with the AWA and the nappy obsession?????

FloralBunting · 03/10/2018 23:43

Riiight. Is it just me who is huuugely suspicious of someone posting on the Harrop thread with some seriously scary views while purporting to be GC? It's just such an obvious watched thread that it totally looks like rat fucking. Though I know there are people who believe those things.

AngryAttackKittens · 03/10/2018 23:44

Popping over to have a look.

FloralBunting · 03/10/2018 23:53

Oh, mods have deleted the second post now. Not surprised, it was pretty ripe stuff. Still, the responses have made it pretty clear it's not a majority view. I guess that's all that can be done in this kind of situation.

AngryAttackKittens · 04/10/2018 00:01

Maybe the mods have done some reading and figured out what ratfucking is.

ErrolTheDragon · 04/10/2018 00:25

Whatever the motivation for posting, mods will delete reported posts which break guidelines.

FloralBunting · 04/10/2018 00:32

Yes, they were certainly posts that breached general guidelines anyway, not just the trans guidelines. I just recall the poster arrived a few months ago claiming to be an exile from Twitter, and immediately started berating people for sticking to the specific FWR restrictions around pronouns and encouraging people to post things that were against the rules. My Spidey senses are jangling all over it tbh.

terryleather · 04/10/2018 00:36

Both of those posts smelt wrong to me Floral as I said on the thread and it would seem you thought the same.

I've never reported a post before as I do believe in free speech but it just looked so much like it was set up for screenshotting to Twitter.

There were some very strange allegations in there along with the homophobia...

ErrolTheDragon · 04/10/2018 00:36

It's usually the good old normal guidelines which scupper these folk. (Not sure if the last one was 'folk' or 'anti folk' but don't really care.)

Ekphrasis · 04/10/2018 15:59

Bump, weird one just flown in.

Ekphrasis · 04/10/2018 16:00

And it's gone at lightening speed!

arranfan · 04/10/2018 16:04

Speaking in code, the verdant one had previously signed up complaining about some conspiracy involving the preferred user name being unavailable - it not being the one used here but on another SM site.

The posts then and after were odd and some were removed.

The pattern continues?

VickyEadie · 04/10/2018 16:28

Ekphrasis I missed it, what was the general gist of the quickly gone thread?

Iused2BanOptimist · 04/10/2018 16:32

I think there's a gf on the Doctor Death thread. I can't check posting history.

Ekphrasis · 04/10/2018 20:56

Vicky, gobbledygook actually.

Title was "after the consultation" mirroring a thread already there and was just rather goady and distasteful. As well as unable to type in plain English.

arranfan · 04/10/2018 20:59

Ah, the diaper-obsessed person did one (so to speak) with the "after the consultation" title the other day when they were very active with many names/threads!
