www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6003331/Britains-official-transgender-student-officer-suspended.html

"Shocking images on the site show an individual flashing while sitting in a train carriage, in a public park and at a bus stop.

Another photograph shows male genitals being exposed in an office close to a curved wooden desk that is strikingly similar to a picture of a work desk that Ms Bradley posted on her Facebook page. "

The photo have been archived on archive.is, you can search there under the domain exhbitionizm.tumblr.com and include lots of flashing shots.

Bradley has commented:

" I appreciate at this time there is a lot of speculation about my conduct and I am able to tell you that I am confident that none of my behaviour has been unlawful, and that I have not engaged in sexual activity with anyone, or in the view of anyone, without their consent. "

I can't see how it would be in their client's interests for Carter Ruck to take the case to court given all the publicity this would bring to their actions.

Preventing publication due to the threat of legal action following the ruling against the BBC would be though.

Respect to the Mail on Sunday for calling their bluff. Freedom of speech and media issues should be decided in court.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 29/07/2018 09:11

I presume that they mean that while they are a woman they don't believe in performing the gender stereotypes expected of women

NoSquirrels · 29/07/2018 09:11

Men cannot understand the flashing/harassment/sex pest argument women make about needing single sex spaces. Because for the vast majority they’ve never experienced it. Whereas the vast majority of women from puberty onwards have. Transwomen will never have had that experience so I believe that those who are so outraged by the female pushback either a) genuinely can’t empathise and therefore think we’re ‘mean’ and ‘intolerant’ or b) get a kick out of trashing boundaries, as this alleged behaviour of the NUS officer demonstrates.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 29/07/2018 09:13

A non- binary transwoman is surely an oxymoron? Confused

AntiqueOlive · 29/07/2018 09:16

Privacy?

When your clients gets their privates out in public?
And then posts the pictures on the internet?

treaclesoda · 29/07/2018 09:17

That makes sense. Women tend to respect people's boundaries and not flash people in public. Jess is actually being progressive and helping us throw off the shackles of our oppression. Aren't we lucky they are one of us? Hmm

This. This is a political official in the national union for students who is a well known transactivist who believes women shouldn't be allowed to have boundaries. It is absolutely in the public interest.

how can one be both non-binary and a woman?

They lurve their labels.

If you don't identify as something, do you even exist?

Wanderabout · 29/07/2018 09:20

On a separate note, I am genuinely confused and wonder if someone could explain - how can one be both non-binary and a woman? Surely that's an inherent contradiction? Any help

V important question that could have huge implications for women's rights.

Which spaces would 'non binary' people like Edward Lord use if this became another option for the birth certificate?

The GRA consultation asks if the option should be given in birth certificates.

It asks nothing nor mentions anything about the impact on single sex spaces, sports, women's right to assemble as a sex, etc.

More people should be asking about this.

StepBackNow · 29/07/2018 09:22

So where are all the TRA handmaidens?

They are usually all over Trans threads calling us TERFs and all sorts. I'd be interested to hear what they think of this person.

And whether they understand that our fears are well founded.

Ereshkigal · 29/07/2018 09:23

Which spaces would 'non binary' people like Edward Lord use if this became another option for the birth certificate?

As far as I am aware they would get to choose in the absence of the "gender neutral" facilities they claim to want. They being a plural, not just Lord.

Bowlofbabelfish · 29/07/2018 09:23

I will be fascinated to see how this plays out.

arranfan · 29/07/2018 09:24

Jess Bradley's statement: hope I should be in a position to talk about the situation in full to the communities that I am accountable to.

Are women one of those communities?

Ereshkigal · 29/07/2018 09:24

Me too.

Doubt it.

Transagenda - bloody phone!

TheMostBeautifulDogInTheWorld · 29/07/2018 09:24

I am not a lawyer, but .... if Carter Ruck were trying to keep Bradley out of the news using the Cliff Richard case, does that mean that Bradley is also currently the subject of a police investigation? I can't see that the situations could be considered similar if not?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 29/07/2018 09:25

So where are all the TRA handmaidens

They will be waiting to see which way this goes, they need to know whether to be angry at women for framing brave brave Bradley in this way, or to be angry at Bradley for pretending to be trans.

Wanderabout · 29/07/2018 09:27

As far as I am aware they would get to choose in the absence of the "gender neutral" facilities they claim to want. They being a plural, not just Lord.

Lol at plural confusion.

But more widely if they do just get to choose this is a massive question that has not been discussed in the media, explored or made clear by the government, looked at in terms of impact on women and girls.

Yet is a random question in an open consultation few impacted by the results have any idea about.

HarryHarlow · 29/07/2018 09:29

I saw the archived blog.. The cartoon of Ben 10 being raped that HE shared was particularly delightful

R0wantrees · 29/07/2018 09:30

Bingpot
We have raised similar questions.

A male-born transwoman who was non-binary and sexually attracted to women would for example be eligible in the NUS to run for Women's Officer / Trans / LGBT+ positions.

See recent threads incl. public officials who identify as non-binary.
(One of whom, Edward Lord, is also a member of a men only Masonic Lodge)

Yes!

With the perennially popular adjunct of the first option of slating women while defending Bradley because wanking on tubes is a symptom caused by a conflict in the gender identity.

Exactly this!
