Mr Harrop and friends are misinforming them on twitter:

Isn't it about time Birds Eye introduced a Surf and Terf Turf combo?

UpstartCrow · 25/07/2018 19:45

I would buy that.

toriap2 · 25/07/2018 20:07

I have a freezer of their stuff. Very useful and I love their chicken range.

ToeToToe · 26/07/2018 07:47

Day 3 of the TRA hissy fit on Birds Eye's twitter timeline.....there's been a decent fightback by the feminists last night.

Birds Eye still studiously ignoring.

A few more days of this, and whoever manages the Birds Eye twitter account will have joined Mumsnet and be on the Gin ...

So what exactly is the issue?

I don't eat fish but I don't think that DS (who eats anything) has ever had the heavenly delight that is a fish finger sandwich (mmmmmmmmmmmm) yet.

Lavenderbathbomb · 26/07/2018 08:07

Watching them tantrum is genuinely hilarious. Under Bird’s Eye.

Lols stepford wives

Cis Allies

They sure are having a massive tantrum

ToeToToe · 26/07/2018 08:31

Omg. Grin "By the way, I’ve emptied my freezer of any of your branded products it contained & will not be purchasing more from a company happy to support transphobia."

Well done love! That'll change the world.

LangCleg · 26/07/2018 08:42

I bought more fish fingers and some peas.

I can't quite force potato waffles though, sorry Cap'n!

AngryAttackKittens · 26/07/2018 08:46

Maybe we should send whichever unfortunate intern is running the Birds Eye social media accounts a care package with some gin and loads of biscuits?

LangCleg · 26/07/2018 08:54

And an UglyCathKidston design!

arranfan · 26/07/2018 08:56

That Bird's Eye pea soup recipe works well with lettuce that you need to use up (wilt it for 1-2 mins if the ribs or leaves seem tough), particularly if you add in some handy fresh herbs.

If Bird's Eye could pick up the smoked mash potato recipe that Findus used to do (Novelli line), perhaps even the pork belly - my family's frozen food expenditure would increase many fold.

Lavenderbathbomb · 26/07/2018 09:15

I wonder if Birds Eye will issue a profits warning for next quarter now that 6 tantrumming transactivists and Dr Anal Hardplop are going to be boycotting their products Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 26/07/2018 13:09

Their frozen soya beans are excellent too. As with all beans, I think they probably do need cooking but then good either hot or cool under the cold tap and add to salads. I quite often add some to the pan when I'm cooking pasta to save energy and washing up.

placemats · 26/07/2018 14:26

Thanks Errol. Delicious lunch today.

Looking forward to my anchovy new potato mash (it's not smooth mash, but it does involve cream) with smoked cheddar cheese tonight.

terryleather · 26/07/2018 18:02

cream & anchovy together is a match made in heaven...

enoughisenough12 · 26/07/2018 18:09

What a great thread Grin
Some lovely recipes. Am going to try to pea / lettuce soup chilled tomorrow.

hipsterfun · 27/07/2018 01:30

A lot of love for pea-ness on this thread Grin

Ereshkigal · 27/07/2018 01:37

Who doesn't love pea-ness Grin

Ereshkigal · 27/07/2018 01:41

Those vegetable fingers have been around for ever. I lived on them when I was younger. With chips and beans or potatoes and veg or whatever. When I was a student my favourite thing was a couple of those cooked really crispy and cut up, with fried egg and chilli sauce in a pitta bread. They have them in the local shop so will have to make that again!

terryleather · 27/07/2018 19:27

Did Birds Eye do those cauliflower cheese bake/grill things - I ate loads of those back in the day and this thread has put them back in my mind...yum...

Ereshkigal · 28/07/2018 15:06

Ooh I love those too!

terryleather · 28/07/2018 15:36

They are sooooo delish Eresh, I used to eat them stuffed in a crispy Glasgow roll with too much butter on it. I think I'm going to have to search them out again for some old school frozen food action...
