MB has tweeted that Mumsnet is a “Radicalisation Portal “ . Isn’t that something off Dr Who ? Does that mean I get to go in the Tardis with David Tennant ? #everycloud

BeUpStanding · 10/07/2018 18:04

Awesome! Sounds like something from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Grin

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 10/07/2018 18:05

Radicalising people to believe in biology. How cute. Lol.

Sarahconnor1 · 10/07/2018 18:13

“Radicalisation Portal“

That sounds fucking ace. Seriously though, why do they think women can't think for themselves.

ballsballsballs · 10/07/2018 18:14

Lawks.

OvaHere · 10/07/2018 18:16

Well we did invent biology all by ourselves. That's pretty radical.

Ofew · 10/07/2018 18:17

Awesome! Sounds like something from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

That's the second mention of that film today on FWR. And we just the other day showed it to our kiddos. Thankfully they loved it!

(Misses point of thread...)

busyboysmum · 10/07/2018 18:20

No I think you'll find it means I get to go off with David Tennant in the Tardis.

As an aside I've always wanted a Tardis. Every time I'm sat at the airport trying to entertain the kids I think "why haven't we got a flaming Tardis?"

NanaNoodleman · 10/07/2018 18:21

That would tend to suggest - if the statement has been thought through, which is of course not a given - that bergdorf believes MN is influencing people against the trans belief system.
To which I say, marvellous and keep up the good work!

Dottierichardson · 10/07/2018 18:22

OP one thing that could be added is that Mumsnet is apparently doing this as a bastion of 'white privilege' as all the women on it are white. As a woman of colour I find that interesting! Although I suppose I would then get termed as a self-hating 'woman of colour' because heaven forbid I should know my own mind.

RadicalisedPortal · 10/07/2018 18:23

Sounds painful

LangCleg · 10/07/2018 18:23

Is it shimmery, like a Stargate? OMG! Are we all Wraiths? Can we suck life force with one touch of our crone-like hands?

Does Justine know that she is an iratus bug?

SirVixofVixHall · 10/07/2018 18:24

Haha yes, you must have internal self flagelating racism . Only possible conclusion.

OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 10/07/2018 18:25

We've got a tardis Tardis and a flaming dragon Dragon if that's of any use?

SirVixofVixHall · 10/07/2018 18:26

It is shimmery. It is a gleaming portal into a world of women holding aloft plates of scones, naice jam, and proper cream in blue and white stripey pots. Obvs. Plus David Tennant.

OP posts:
SirVixofVixHall · 10/07/2018 18:27

*examines crone like hands.

ErrolTheDragon · 10/07/2018 18:27

Maybe Bergdorf misinterpreted a thread about bleaching doorways?

LangCleg · 10/07/2018 18:29

Is this portal in the back of a DC's wardrobe, hidden behind the dress-up fur coats?

LangCleg · 10/07/2018 18:31

I know the magic words!

oi oi, Munroe

Say that three times and turn around - you'll never be the same again.

BlackeyedSusan · 10/07/2018 18:31

Dottierichardson do you fade everytime you log on? certainly not noticed gettting more privaledged every time I log on...

oh how patronising, not being able to think for oneself.

all these people banging on about not misgendering making way more assumptions about others.

DietCoke87 · 10/07/2018 18:31

If this forum is a "Radicalisation Portal" I wonder what she would label the A Voice for Men Forums and the Freedomain Radio boards... or just about any YouTube comments sections from a MGTOW or MRA or "red-pilled anti-feminist" uploader... oh wait... silence...

MammaMiaTwo · 10/07/2018 18:33

I am now reminded of India Willoughby discussing Daleks on BB.

Sarahconnor1 · 10/07/2018 18:33

Mumsnet is apparently doing this as a bastion of 'white privilege' as all the women on it are white

Yep and all British and all middle aged. FFS I would have thought Munroe would do better than resort to lazy stereotypes.

ErrolTheDragon · 10/07/2018 18:34

But seriously...
radicalisation: the action or process of causing someone to adopt radical positions on political or social issues.
radical:
adjective
1.
(especially of change or action) relating to or affecting the fundamental nature of something; far-reaching or thorough."a radical overhaul of the existing regulatory framework"

2.
characterized by departure from tradition; innovative or progressive."the city is known for its radical approach to transport policy"

noun
1.
a person who advocates thorough or complete political or social reform; a member of a political party or part of a party pursuing such aims.

(And the chemistry meaning, obviously, but I don't think anyone's trying to subvert that one)

Well... depending on your position 'radicalisation' isn't necessarily a bad thing, is it?

terryleather · 10/07/2018 18:35

Is it Millwall who sing Everybody Hates Us And We Don't Care?

Perhaps we can change it to All The Woke Hate Us And We Don't Care! and adopt it as the FWR anthem...

OunceOfFlounce · 10/07/2018 18:35

I've been fully radicalised on this board 💯 Thanks for the shoutout mb 🙌
