It feels like we are are arguing with people who have newly found god and are trying to explain science while people want us burned for heresy

So yes all for free speech and I support many of the posts on here, but there is no denying that a concerted campaign is being raged via mumsnet
I had a go at Twitter a while ago, the activist viewpoint with many really extreme, violent and unmoderated voices makes this board look like a tea party. It's maybe less easy to shut down real debate here than on Twitter and without the character limit it's also easier here to drill down into proper arguments. I am sure that's why people like Bergdorf are so incensed by it.

It does seem apt at times.

I know someone who was toying with the idea of training a webcam on their catflap & advertising online as a “pussy portal.” She couldn’t work out how to monetise disappointment for pornhounds, so abandoned the idea.
