Having said that, I am always reading about how MN (and particularly the feminists on here) are "white and middle class". There NOTHING wrong with being both of those things but it's meant as an insult, or a way of diminishing these women's opinions.
The only reason the media and others think that every woman on here is white and middle class is that the conversation is intelligent and informed and they truly don't beleive that black, brown and working class women can be intelligent and informed.
