Why “Get The L Out” ?
July 5, 2018
Angela C. Wild
Who We Are

Get the L Out is a group of lesbian and feminist individuals and organisations, opposing the increasingly anti-lesbian and misogynistic LGBT movement and the erasure of lesbians

Why We Protest

We believe that lesbian rights are under attack by the trans movement and we encourage lesbians everywhere to leave the LGBT and form their own independent movement, as well as to be vocal and take action against the proposed changes to the GRA.

Get the L Out believes trans politics (with uncritical support from the LGBT movement) does the following:

Promotes the social transition of lesbians, encouraging them to present as straight men thus favouring the pretence of heterosexuality over lesbianism – this is nothing more than a form of conversion therapy.
Promotes the medical transition of lesbians and pushes harmful drugs (untested hormone blockers, Lupron etc.) as well as unnecessary medical practices on perfectly healthy bodies – these are a form of misogynist medical abuse against lesbians.
Promotes the rights of heterosexual males who “identify” as women and lesbians (despite most of them still retaining their male genitals) over the rights of lesbians to choose their sexual partners. This new ‘queer’ LGBT politics thus coerces lesbians to accept the penis as a female organ and promotes heterosexual intercourse between male and female as a form of lesbian sex. This is simply a new facet to rape culture and compulsory heterosexuality." (continues)

Has anyone seen a specific quote by Sadiq Kahn about the protesters?

I saw the PN live coverage and Sadiq Kahn didn't comment.

The direct quote by him that I've seen is ‘transphobia is unacceptable’. Which of course it is.

I think PN ran the first story,

They reported the spokesperson who said,
A spokesperson for the Mayor of London told PinkNews:
“Pride is about celebrating difference and London’s amazing LGBT+ community.

“It’s about showing those round the world that in our great city you can be free to be whoever you want to be and love whoever you want to love.

“The vast majority of those present at today’s march respected and embraced that and the Mayor condemns the tiny minority who did not.

“Transphobia is never acceptable.”

The headline, 'Mayor of London Sadiq Khan condemns anti-transgender group who ‘hijacked’ Pride march' is Pink News' and well... they have form.

Sadie Khan said that?

It will take a little time to consider the protests in London!

Pratchet, that autocorrect has made me giggle.

Just saw this on CNN's coverage of the Trump protests:

"The idea that we would curtail freedom to protest, freedom of speech, because someone's feelings are hurt is laughable," Khan said Friday in an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour.

Offred · 13/07/2018 17:07

I think the ‘transphobia is unacceptable’ is a short version of what his office released. I haven’t seen an actual quote from him.

RepeatAfterUs · 13/07/2018 17:42

lol at Sadie Khan
I see he is trans as well
It may just be a quote I bet he has no idea what happened
-Hello press office. Does the mayor support transphobia
-No

quote "Sadie doesn't support transphobia"

300k to 500k down to 3500 having some kind of surgical treatment.

The evidence they gave to the MM Trans Enquiry suggested 650k trans people based on a study estimating 1% general population, 30k had any medical intervention at all, last surgery figures 2009 were as you say. So under 5% for any medical intervention, even if you add on a few more surgeries not much more than that. It's estimated that 20% wish to have some surgery. And about 5k both sexes have GRC.

Snappity · 13/07/2018 17:54

A man who gets off on forced feminisation will clearly find the "humiliation" of being observed to be male by women in a loo or changing room arousing. Anyone who does this is using women as masturbatory props in a sexual fantasy.

So many non-sequiturs in that. First, you are assuming that people in real life engage in the things which they enjoy in fantasy erotica. Next why would someone interested in forced feminisation equally get off on being seen to be male? That is nonsensical.

Snappity · 13/07/2018 17:59

I assume @snappity that you've written to Stonewall to express your discomfort at their definition including cross dressers etc? Oh you haven't. Why not?

Their definition of trans men and trans women does not include cross-dressers.

titchy · 13/07/2018 18:02

Their definition of trans DOES include cross dressers. As well you know.

speakingwoman · 13/07/2018 18:12

@snappity, I think the being-aroused-as-you-to-into-the-ladies-and-they-see-you-are-male-but-can't-say-anything idea is a sort of power/rape-type fantasy idea (like a harem/concubine type fantasy).

There is probably the same percentage of trans people who get off on other people's helplessness as there is in the community at large. Not many, but some.

speakingwoman · 13/07/2018 18:16

"They definitely do not because fetishistic cross dressers and part time transvestites are male"

agree with you there snappity.

Would a nasty power-fantasy person put in the sheer effort to pass the "live in their chosen gender" requirements that exist at the moment for nefarious reasons? Probably the casually nasty wouldn't but the really nasty ones are quite committed.

SophoclesTheFox · 13/07/2018 18:20

snappity - Their definition of trans men and trans women does not include cross-dressers

Taken from the Stonewall website approximately 30 seconds ago:

Trans

An umbrella term to describe people whose gender is not the same as, or does not sit comfortably with, the sex they were assigned at birth
Trans people may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms, including (but not limited to) transgender, transsexual, gender-queer (GQ), gender-fluid, non-binary, gender-variant, crossdresser, genderless, agender, nongender, third gender, two-spirit, bi-gender, trans man, trans woman, trans masculine, trans feminine and neutrois

YOU.ARE.WRONG.

SophoclesTheFox · 13/07/2018 18:21

Here's the link

crossdressers are trans according to Stonewall

Pratchet · 13/07/2018 19:13

Cripes. This is (one of the reasons s) why we don't want TRA in our spaces. Short fuse much.

WhereDoWeBeginToCovetClarice · 13/07/2018 19:25

why would someone interested in forced feminisation equally get off on being seen to be male?

Humiliation? Being kinky/perverted/degraded. Even Grayson Perry (who has no illusions he is a woman) got a kick out of being seen as a pervert.

@snappity.

Waiting for your to acknowledge your lie error, please.

Cross dressers are so firmly under the trans umbrella they could stay dry in a monsoon. Agreed?

ova, councillor Gregor seems lovely, doesn't he? He's non binary ya know. What the ever loving fuck could that even mean when you look at his picture?! I see a misogynist beardy white bloke who could give Malcolm Tucker a run for his money on the swears.

Ereshkigal · 13/07/2018 21:11

Poor Rowan has posted the screenshot twice now. As well as other posters quoting or linking to the definition. And still Snappity denied it.

Snappity do you now acknowledge that cross dressers are trans according to Stonewall?

WhereDoWeBeginToCovetClarice · 13/07/2018 21:13

I don't normally @ people. But... @snappity ?

Snappity · 13/07/2018 21:17

YOU.ARE.WRONG.
I am not. You are confusing trans men and trans women, which are subsets of the trans umbrella, with the whole umbrella
