Why “Get The L Out” ?
July 5, 2018
Angela C. Wild
Who We Are

Get the L Out is a group of lesbian and feminist individuals and organisations, opposing the increasingly anti-lesbian and misogynistic LGBT movement and the erasure of lesbians

Why We Protest

We believe that lesbian rights are under attack by the trans movement and we encourage lesbians everywhere to leave the LGBT and form their own independent movement, as well as to be vocal and take action against the proposed changes to the GRA.

Get the L Out believes trans politics (with uncritical support from the LGBT movement) does the following:

Promotes the social transition of lesbians, encouraging them to present as straight men thus favouring the pretence of heterosexuality over lesbianism – this is nothing more than a form of conversion therapy.
Promotes the medical transition of lesbians and pushes harmful drugs (untested hormone blockers, Lupron etc.) as well as unnecessary medical practices on perfectly healthy bodies – these are a form of misogynist medical abuse against lesbians.
Promotes the rights of heterosexual males who “identify” as women and lesbians (despite most of them still retaining their male genitals) over the rights of lesbians to choose their sexual partners. This new ‘queer’ LGBT politics thus coerces lesbians to accept the penis as a female organ and promotes heterosexual intercourse between male and female as a form of lesbian sex. This is simply a new facet to rape culture and compulsory heterosexuality." (continues)

I’m currently re-reading ‘Of Woman Born’ and this section seemed very pertinent to recent events:

It is precisely because the lesbian is different that a value system bent on prescribing a limited set of possibilities for women can neither tolerate nor affirm her. It is precisely because difference is so powerful (though the ‘different’ may be socially disempowered) that it becomes the target of threats, harassment, violence, social control, genocide.

Fab quote, Boldly

PersonWithAVulva · 12/07/2018 16:56

Wow, that google drive thing..hundreds, if not thousands of examples. And the person claiming it does not exist...just goes quiet when confronted with truth, does not even condemn the behavior of the rapists. Fucking vile.

Thanks for this, so helpful.

No problem Italian.

There's one that seems to say (thanks for a piece of well placed masonry) 'Trans men ape men’

Hear hear! Lisa Muggeridge

TransplantsArePlants · 12/07/2018 19:37

Prawn

I'd love to project "Most tranwomen have a penis' on the MOJ.

Destinysdaughter · 12/07/2018 19:54

Loving this song I just saw on Twitter!

That google drive Sad

I can't even read any more of it right now.

It's so awful. I feel so, so bad for young lesbians right now. They are being hounded. Jesus. How will any of them ever be comfortable with their sexuality when they're being told its wrong all over the internet??

pombear · 12/07/2018 21:50

Lisa's film is spot on.

As usual, I can see why she was targeted by trans rights activists on twitter.

Many men can't stand a woman who speaks for herself, with no filters, talking objective sense. It must be really frustrating and angering for them. "Why can't women just shut up".

As per some other poster's quote they added to another thread here 'people should just shut their mouth'.

Lisa's not shutting her mouth, and lots of us are following her in the real life arena, also not shutting our mouths.

Ereshkigal · 13/07/2018 00:20

I've just watched all of Lisa's videos and I think she has a really important perspective to add.

Ereshkigal · 13/07/2018 00:21

That google drive

I know, it's hideous.

Snappity · 13/07/2018 04:05

The fact that the majority of transwomen now are not the old school transsexuals, but males whose transition is largely sexually motivated is the trans lobby's dirty little great humongous secret. As the transactivists say to women, "Educate yourself".

@Prawnofthepatriarchy, That's a very negative sweeping generalisation. Can you please provide evidence? For the UK, of course.

WhereDoWeBeginToCovetClarice · 13/07/2018 04:07

Perchance...

Cute picture!

SophoclesTheFox · 13/07/2018 06:47

Snappity, you could start a fight in an empty room, you really could.

It's boring.

You're having the opposite effect from the one you think you're having with this repetetive and oppositional stance. It wouldn't matter what position you were advancing, your obfuscating, nit-picking, real-question avoiding style is not enlightening or persuasive. It's the opposite.

Snappity · 13/07/2018 06:54

It's boring.

It is a very negative accusation and it shouldn't be allowed to stand if there is no evidence for it. It might be boring asking for evidence but in the context of such strongly negative statements, it is reasonable I think.

SophoclesTheFox · 13/07/2018 07:07

Or you could demonstrate why it's not true if you disagree so strongly?

Unless the end goal is not enlightenment, but merely to have feminists chasing our tails going after evidence that you won't read and wouldnt' accept even if you did, of course.

Then you could just plop onto every thread and pick out random bits to poke and worry at like a bored jack russell while contributing absolutely nothing of substance - that would be a really effective tactic if that was actually the end goal.

Snappity · 13/07/2018 07:18

Or I could just have reported a sweeping generalisation for breach of Talk Guidelines. Instead I did Prawn the courtesy of asking for evidence. Obviously if there is evidence, then there is no need to report it. Do you have evidence to support it?

SophoclesTheFox · 13/07/2018 07:28

You’ve got the talk guidelines laminated next to your computer, haven’t you Grin
