I had a little joke saying 'female homosexual he wishes' because the profile pic was clearly a man so obviously not a female homosexual

How on earth do you know it was a picture of a man and not in fact a lesbian?

Ereshkigal · 17/07/2018 19:58

And Daim, to deny the allegation that she was married to a "transwoman" said she is married to a "female". What can we infer from that sudden respect for biological reality?

NynaeveSedai · 17/07/2018 19:59

Well, quite

Ereshkigal · 17/07/2018 20:00

I've seen someone claim on Twitter that the picture was of Maria M

LOL. Was it this lady?

Whoops, daim.

I thought we should be able to read gender identities like auras, and here you are, potentially erasing people twice in a day by saying that looking male means you can't be a lesbian and having dangerhair means you're non-binary.

Are you now, or have you ever been A TRANSPHOBE???

Ereshkigal · 17/07/2018 20:02

Are you now, or have you ever been A TRANSPHOBE???

GrinGrin

daimbars · 17/07/2018 20:03

Ereshkigal

Personally I use male and female to refer to sex or anatomy on here

I use man, woman, trans man, trans woman to refer to these people who are trans / not trans.

If only there was a word for a person whose anatomy matched their gender identity that wasn't banned on here! It would make posting a lot simpler.

AngryAttackKittens · 17/07/2018 20:04

So this person with the dyed hair - did Daim ask if they were non-binary or just assume because that's what dyed hair means in genderland?

Sarahconnor1 · 17/07/2018 20:04

No I don't think so. Browsing last night saw that pic and thought nope

AngryAttackKittens · 17/07/2018 20:06

I wonder if the next step is hairdressers being required to ask for the pronouns of customers before agreeing to do a dye job. All of the not found in nature colors will be off limits if they don't go by some variation of "zie".

What if you identify as a punk?

JackyHolyoake · 17/07/2018 20:07

Anlaf Thank you Smile

There has been some lying about me today on Twitter and that fake tweet has been used by some malicious men as part of it.

Ereshkigal · 17/07/2018 20:07

If only there was a word for a person whose anatomy matched their gender identity that wasn't banned on here! It would make posting a lot simpler.

If only there were words for the two sex classes with the potential to produce ova and sperm respectively! Oh look it seems there are! Smile

NoDykeDoesDick · 17/07/2018 20:09

Goodness me, this is hilarious. That picture was of a butch lesbian from a TV show, not a man Grin

No wonder you seem so confused over what a lesbian is, Daimbars.

AngryAttackKittens · 17/07/2018 20:10

Well, you see, a man is obviously a man when someone with super awesome genderdar is looking, but possibly a woman if an evil witch is the one looking (who should be scolded for assuming). It's all very straighforward if you just accept that gender is your lord and savior and (insert whatever serves as the equivalent of communion here).

Sarahconnor1 · 17/07/2018 20:10

Daim you are tying yourself up in spectular knots here.

Also can you explain your use of the word witches to describe women.

Ereshkigal · 17/07/2018 20:10

Btw, I don't have a "gender identity" so nothing for my anatomy to match, so what word do I get?

AngryAttackKittens · 17/07/2018 20:10

And a butch lesbian is also a man because she should just hurry up and transition already, I guess.

(Am not doing Twitter - is it the woman from Orange Is The New Black?)

UglyCathKidstonBag · 17/07/2018 20:13

Re thing about it being a majority of women over 50.

  1. Why are they invalid? Why do their opinions mean nothing?
  2. Have you ever thought that perhaps younger women are at home with their children? Or that they don’t feel comfortable bringing them to events that have been targeted for bomb and violence threats?
That younger women might also have more of a mortgage left to pay, or not have quite such an established career where they could deal with being doxxed?

Why aren’t women of all ages allowed to speak?

HemanOrSheRa · 17/07/2018 20:19

This is making my head hurt as 'lurker' Confused. If transactivists are so sure they are on the 'right side of history' why do they give a rat's arsehole about groups of women meeting to talk and discuss matters that concern them? What does it matter? Why do they care? Clearly I know what the issue is but if they are RIGHT and if they are convinced of that there shouldn't be a problem.

daimbars · 17/07/2018 20:20

I think I've said all there is to say. It was a nasty, mean-spirited event. I don't think I'll go to the next one.

RadicalisedPortal · 17/07/2018 20:23

daim, you had decided that before you went.

Women and girls want to keep their rights, that isn't nasty and it isn't mean. Our rights and protections are wanted, they are needed.

Why does the retention of women's rights offend you so much?

sausagebap · 17/07/2018 20:25

More nasty and mean-spirited than calling other women witches and taking pleasure in them (supposedly) being made uncomfortable?

LangCleg · 17/07/2018 20:26

Christ on an absolute bike. When in a hole, stop digging!

AngryAttackKittens · 17/07/2018 20:26

I'd consider implying that women over 50 don't deserve to have their opinion matter pretty mean spirited, personally.

(And I'm not over 50 myself so I guess my opinion on this may actually count in the woke universe.)

Sarahconnor1 · 17/07/2018 20:30

I don't think Daim is going to answer the questions asked about apparent misogyny and ageism.

That is a surprise.
