Why are trans things discussed in Feminism section not a separate topic or have I missed something?

Slightly confused. Apologies for any unintended offence.

And no, 'I am an intersex woman' isn't going to be the mind blowing rhetoric you think it is at this point either.

Popchyk · 24/06/2018 11:20

Sex is absolute.

Hallelujah. I think we finally got there.

Pratchet · 24/06/2018 11:22

No, not for all purposes because EQ 2010 exemptions.

The phrase 'for all purposes' means 'to all intents and purposes' which means, basically, as if.

Sex is indeed, absolute and immutable but it's source and definition does not come from a piece of paperSmile

Pratchet · 24/06/2018 11:23

Its not it's

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 24/06/2018 11:23

I liked it too AAK Grin

I'm not understanding why the OP is concerned about whether the topic is pushing other issues off the board considering they aren't a participant in any of the feminist threads this year as far as I can tell, and therefore not really affected. At the same time they have started another thread which has been derailed from the original topic by the usual method, has degenerated into goady fuckery and is taking up space on page 1 of the board. Just an observation.

Pratchet · 24/06/2018 11:28

Absolute

Yes natural: all the 'oh excuse me I'm just sleepy and ditsy' was rather a clue

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 24/06/2018 11:43

C'mon guys. She just hasn't noticed us having the conversation twice a week, every fucking week for the last two years

Datun · 24/06/2018 12:46

There are no exemptions to that. Sex is absolute.

From the person who claims Caitlin Jenner is an infertile woman, just like any other, due to not being able to gestate.

Ah yet another calling feminists 'anti-trans' as calling feminists 'pro-women' is like saying water is fucking wet!

PersonWithAVulva · 24/06/2018 13:35

desperately hoping to suck in a few more gullible recruits to the anti-trans cult

Are you seriously saying that anyone concerned about this is gullible?! I would say the reverse really. Anyone who thinks that transactivists have transsexual peoples interests at heart is absolutely gullible. They are creating more issues for trans people..who oddly enough have used the spaces of the sex they wish they were for a while now. But transactivists are demanding that any man who says he is a woman is let in else the business is discriminatory. And creating a whole shitstorm when it really was not needed at all.

Transactivists are just MRAs. They just want to destroy the rights of women. And possibly the rights of transwomen too.

Waddlelikeapenguin · 24/06/2018 13:36

Sex is absolute.
Grin so say we all

jellyfrizz · 24/06/2018 13:43

How can you fight for women's rights when you can't define 'women'?

^^This

BeUpStanding · 24/06/2018 13:45

I'm still chuckling at biological elitism Grin

spontaneousgiventime · 24/06/2018 13:47

I knew I was born to be elite - biologically elite. Grin

Biological elite = womb envy.

TerfsUp · 24/06/2018 13:49

snappity, define "biology".

AngryAttackKittens · 24/06/2018 13:53

I feel like if I'm meant to be elite I should probably be taller...

AngryAttackKittens · 24/06/2018 13:54

But there's a simple solution - I'll just identify as being 5ft10.

I wonder how many fence-sitters are changing their minds as Snappity demonstrates the absolute refusal to compromise and complete disregard for women's boundaries that characterizes their political position. It's one thing to want to be kind to what you see as a vulnerable group, quite another to realize that your kindness may be taken as a sign to take a mile for every inch given.
