It is irrelevant whether or not a predatory pervert bothers to change gender. Those behind self-id want to normalise male access to female loos.

Are we going to be allowed to ask to see proof that they have "changed gender"? Will they be carrying an official ID card? Would it infringe someone's rights to ask for proof? Would women feel safe asking? What about our rights?

I'm sorry but I don't see the relevance to trans issues here. They were both men in your links, they were both prosecuted. Transwoman or not, if anyone attacks or harrases women in bathrooms they will be prosecuted. Self ID won't change that. But then I was sharing a bathroom with a (not quite passing) transwoman only last week. You'll never guess what happened.
