I was just heading to bed when I had a thought that has given me the giggles gin induced

Trans activists have really shot themselves in the foot. Here everything we say is public so they can read it. Now, many of us have joined a totally private forum where you can't even see the names of the members unless you log in. It is also giving women a much freer reign to say what they want and we can swear.

So fuck you TRA, you knew what we were saying here, now you won't have a fucking clue, all you can do is guess.

Women 1-0 TRA

NoProbLlama78 Replied.

The forum has grown so much overnight. I've logged on around half an hour ago and already see so many familiar names, it's fantastic.

Already, people are putting ideas forward, their will be an England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales forums so people can arrange to meet up. I think these will be hidden groups so people have a double layer of privacy if using more local groups, this is great news. Safety first after all. There is also a place where you can add your own suggestions and ideas.

Looking good.

A private group sounds like a great idea for planning meetings, campaigns etc without interference.

On the other hand it's very important to keep the debate going in public. Don't let them force it into hiding. Get as many people aware of it as possible- that's what they're trying to suppress.

Ereshkigal · 15/06/2018 14:28

I'll use "MTF trans person" if that's acceptable, which is the biggest compromise I will make and only because this forum is important.

ImagineBeing · 15/06/2018 14:33

May I please join the new forum?

GorgonLondon · 15/06/2018 16:05

Please can someone send me details of the new forum in a PM? Asking nicely again!

TheChampagneGalop · 15/06/2018 18:43

I am also interested in the new forum. Been away from MN for a while and completely missed the new guidelines.

Hyppolyta · 15/06/2018 18:50

I wonder how many posters it will take before MN notices its member fleeing.

spontaneousgiventime · 15/06/2018 19:09

Fully up to date with everyone who has DM'd me. I can now confirm, members asked for two things be added today and they have been, so very much user driven. I have been asked how admin are checking people are genuine, the truth is, I don't know. I am not involved in any way with the forum apart from passing on details. Any questions can be directed to the admin. I give their contact details in the info I pass along. Sorry I can't be any more help.

If you still want to join but don't have the details, please do DM me and I will pass along all the admin asked me too.

Its now time to plan strategically but planning to stick around here too as Here is critical to educate women on the dangers to us of the TRA agenda

Totally agree... plan (and vent!) elsewhere..... educate and expose on here.... the more we share the more we peak!

For our daughters .... and ourselves....

MeYouWye · 15/06/2018 19:47

Can I be added. Very much a lurker and learning but want to keep up with debate.

Mogleflop · 15/06/2018 20:01

"There are a few exceptionally prolific posters which make me suspect that account log-ins have been shared so the boards can be hassled 24/7 tagteam-style."

I've noticed this, it's noticeable and sloppy. They should change it up a bit more. I'm offended at their lack of planning!

I can't message on the app but I'd really appreciate being sent the link @spontaneousgiventime.

(Of course people could sneak in, and the Mumsnet mods can read private messages so will know where people are being directed, nothing secret on the internet and all - but I'd like to know where to find some of you when this board gets shut down, as it almost inevitably will.)

spontaneousgiventime · 15/06/2018 20:04

@Mogleflop Sent.

I would really like to have the link. I lurk, read and frequently name change since interngate but I'm a long time person

OnlyHereForTheFeminists · 15/06/2018 20:18

I don't post much but would love to join a forum where I could find out about real life meet ups and activism. I have been lurking regularly and have gone from fluffy libfem to hardcore radfem in the last year or so.

Mogleflop · 15/06/2018 20:20

@spontaneousgiventime thank you! Smile

Genderwitched · 15/06/2018 20:26

Could I be pm'd too please I would like to join the new forum.

The atmosphere on here is getting a bit tense. I do actually think that Mumsnet are doing their best but I still want to be able to read, and join in, truthful discussions about trans issues if Mumsnet loses the battle.

Everytime the TA's bash free and truthful speech on the head, it just pops up elswhere stronger than ever.

bialystockandbloom · 15/06/2018 20:43

I'd like to join too, will pm you op. But I agree it's essential to keep conversation going on MN - at the very least to eg raise awareness of developments, legislation, petitions etc. It would be disastrous if only those who already know and understand the reality of what's happening (via a separate forum) keep abreast of news - like so many others here, I've only been aware of the extent of what's happening through MN. If the topic disappeared, a huge number of women would be totally unaware of the reality, and threat to women's safety, sport, language policing etc.

Strigiformes · 15/06/2018 21:40

I would love to join please.

Typeractive · 16/06/2018 10:12

Those of you who've signed up to the new forum, are you using your Mumsnet names or your actual names?

I'm happy to use my real name, just don't want to look like a wally if I'm the only one doing so!!

reeldoop · 16/06/2018 10:43

I am guessing where the new forum is. but what is the group called, i can only fine a US GC one.

Mogleflop · 16/06/2018 10:45

I've used my Mumsnet name. I'll feel like a right dick if everyone else is Susan and Becky and so on!

LaSqrrl · 16/06/2018 10:50

I must protest at going back to MTF!
They are not effing clownfish! Which is why we have avoided using that for a very long time. Before the use of T*M (which is really accurate), we used M2T (male to trans), because no humans change sex.

On more general sites (like news) I have used 'transwoman', but will never ever put that space, because it is inaccurate.

I guess to skirt around not using birth sex, one could start using 'fakewoman', as our alternatives seem somewhat limited. I gather though, it will be jumped on under the 'goady' rule. What a lovely no-win policy for GC.

AngryAttackKittens · 16/06/2018 10:51

Wait, aren't MTF and FTM forbidden now too? I've lost track.

LaSqrrl · 16/06/2018 10:52

I did send an email to the address that thebewilderness gave me, but as yet, no reply.

LaSqrrl · 16/06/2018 10:53

Wait, aren't MTF and FTM forbidden now too? I've lost track.
Me too. Both reference birth sex. That thing we must not mention.
