Trans activists have really shot themselves in the foot. Here everything we say is public so they can read it. Now, many of us have joined a totally private forum where you can't even see the names of the members unless you log in. It is also giving women a much freer reign to say what they want and we can swear.

So fuck you TRA, you knew what we were saying here, now you won't have a fucking clue, all you can do is guess.

I will continue to post here and read here for as long as possible as well. It's important that other women know what is happening.

I have been thinking about this MN rule..I have had no issue using transwoman, but this whole banning of terms leaves a really bitter taste. The whole point of T*M was that it encompassed all people of the male sex that were under the trans umbrella.

I think I will just use male person, for all male people. And male transactivist, or MRA for activists who wish to remove the rights of women.

MRA is still fine to say, I presume? This attack is by MRAs, make no doubt about that. Mumsnet, giving into MRAs, who would hav thought it. F4J must be so proud of the recent incarnation.

Posted before finishing that. I have never had issue using transwoman for transsexual male people. And U still dn't, unless the hoops we are expected to jump through get even worse. But 'transgender' I no longer recignize at all, especially given that this seemed to get a fuckload worse once the switch was made from transsexual to transgender, and it became not about dysphoria at all, but about this 'inner essence' that apparently we all have.

As an agender person myself, I have no issue with people calling me a woman, or female. So I have asked someone 'trans' and I say, its fine.

Totally support your private forum and the right to plan and discuss how you feel. I can only. Imagine what is said there I hope that it is a balanced discussion with people having different points of view like on here, as these things can easily become echo Chambers. But I look forward to debating whatever comes out of it. I really hope as some people have mentioned it does not suffer the fate that can happen with these invited forums where people who don't get in are shunned or feel they are not a part of the gang. Also that as happened resently someone gets in who as other issues and falls. Out with people and then leaves the forum wide open.

Is this why odd things have been happening with DMs, with some randomly being deleted and not by the users? Is someone going through them, and is this what they're looking so? If so it would have to be either a hacker (not good) or someone on the inside (even worse).

What they're looking for, I mean. I've been trying to figure out wtf was up with that, and it just occurred to me that there have been tons of people making comments asking people to DM them info about the other forum. Nice people who just want a safe place to talk are not the only people reading these threads, and something very strange has been happening with some people's DMs that HQ has yet to provide an explanation for as far as I'm aware.

Well, if that is the case - and I jolly well hope it isn't - please be aware that PMs regarding it do not give away its location.

A few weeks ago when I had a series of 'glitches' it was very disconcerting as the only way to check whether a PM had been sent or received was to find an alternative route to check.

As during Emmagate it's the lack of response from HQ that's causing a bit of concern. If it's a tech glitch surely it can be explained.

And yes, if someone is trawling through PMs hoping for "useful" information they're not going to get it, but that doesn't mean that if a back door is open it shouldn't be firmly shut ASAP.

Can anyone bring me up to speed with alternative forums if we can't talk freely here any more?

I'm not sure, but spontaneous may have fallen under the banhammer and be temporarily suspended. I would guess this also stops ability to send and receive PMs.
